    Yeah that sounds like a winner, but if bottling is a pain in the ass I don't mind growlers either. If some just happens to land on my porch, the next thing I'll be doing is finding out whether payback should go to you or to him, but it will be swift and righteous.

    NBO - Horizontalhood Trip #10

    If you would like to be in consideration to be the recipient of a 6-shipper box filled with great stuff, please BM me your shipping address (or just say "it's in the directory"). If you would prefer to skip this trip and sign up for a future trip, don't send me anything and wait for the next person to post their NBO to sign up. Also, please let me know IF there are any specific styles you do or don't like, since that may impact what's in the box or who I choose. Signup period ends at 11:59 PM on Wednesday, June 3rd Wednesday night I will randomly select the recipient and start posting hints as to who it is. Box will be shipped shortly after the winner is chosen!

    Trip #1 - Texas (@Clarkson )--> Illinois (@Ncpogs )
    Trip #2 - Illinois (@Ncpogs )--> NJ (@Syracuse12)
    Trip #3 - NJ (@Syracuse12) --> VA (@Dave_Treat)
    Trip #4 - VA (@Dave_Treat) --> FL (@valrxman)
    Trip #5 - FL (@valrxman) --> PA (@JNForsyth)
    Trip #6 - PA (@JNForsyth) --> MA (@xICooRsYIx
    Trip#7 - MA (@xICooRsYIx) --> IN (@MCMASTERSANCHEZ)
    Trip #8 - IN (@MCMASTERSANCHEZ --> NY (@Mikexw)
    Trip #9 - NY (@Mikexw) --> IL (@mbmiche)
    Trip #10 - IL (@mbmiche) -->

    See official rules below....
    ----------------------------------------------
    How Horizontalhood works:
    1) Some of my favorite beers have come from a brewery “Sampler” trade where I ask my trading partner to throw in a whole brewery’s lineup. If I didn’t do this, I would have only had Lunch, and not a tiny beautiful something. I might have only had Jai Alai and not Tocobaga. I night have only had Milller Lite and not MGD (just seeing if anyone is paying attention). So the purpose of this BIF is to showcase your local brewery’s line up and send something that wouldn’t normally be asked for. Show that your local brewery is not a one trick pony.
    2) The current holder of the Horizontalhood box will make a post in the Locals BIF thread saying that the signup period for the next Trip is open and will be open for 2 or 3 (or 9) days. Anyone that would like to be a potential target for the box would send their address information in a BM to the current holder of the box. To be eligible the person must have:
    a) participated in Locals BIF rounds 1, 2 (summer 6'er), 3, 4 (Winter 6’er), ACJ BIF or be one of the new faces (avatars) that have recently joined us prior to this Trips NBO post -- that's basically the guys (and gal) in the directory and about 3 or 4 others.
    b) have not already received the Horizontalhood box.
    3) After the signup period is over, the current holder will randomly pick the next lucky recipient of the Horizontalhood box. They will not announce this person nor the number of people that signed up, but instead will start posting hints as to where the box is going (BIF style hints). If no one signs up to be the next recipient then, as the original founder, @Clarkson will be the final recipient (hopefully without him knowing that it is coming to him).
    4) The holder of the Horizontalhood box will fill the box with high quality local bottles from A SINGLE LOCAL BREWERY ONLY, and ship it to the target. Make it a kickass box, but with this group of people I know we won't have to worry about that. Also, add the targets name to the tracking board in the box and add any 'decorations' that you wish to help commemorate the box's visit to your state. You may add one piece of swag in place of one beer, but it has to come from the brewery that is in the box.
    5) Once the box is received by the target, they will post the pr0n for all to enjoy.
    6) Start over at #1

    You do not have to enter every signup period. You can pick and choose when you want to be in consideration to be the next recipient. This would be nice if the current holder of the box is from your own state or an adjoining state or if you.
    Cheers!

    Sign ups will end at 11:59 PM on Wednesday, June 3rd.

    That's nice, except it should be silver & white with a blue star...

    Devin, if you could get right on that? :stuck_out_tongue:

    Also, perfect timing on the LIF box from @mklisz! The Galaxy Fort Point was a huge hit (one of my favorites of the night) and the Bissell Brothers IPAs hit the spot while waiting in the BBQ line.

    So I received a lil return fire from the yankette yesterday. Not one box but two, with a handwritten note saying " 2 boxes? No glass? There's more to come biotch" I don't know how much more you can send but be careful. That's all I can tell you.

    A while back @Littlelotte88 was drinking a 13' Expedition stout and wasn't to fond of it. I asked her to save one for me is she had extras and here it is, along with a 14' (I have a lil vert working). Had Focal less than a year ago and loved it, can't wait to have it again! Finally get the chance to try one of these tree house hoppy treats. And I really enjoyed that whirlpool a couple months back.

    Only my 3rd HF beer and the ratings have me very intrigued. Downed both of these growlers last night and they most definetly did not disappoint. One was Coriolis from NEBCO and the other was Double Shot from Tree House. Both were outstanding.

    [IMG]
    Then I find these beauties, all new to me except for the Barrel Aged (I think that's the one I had). Have heard great things about them and now I get to try some of the variants.

    [IMG]
    WOW! My very own BB Fayston Maple Imperial Stout, my buddy has made me jealous a couple times telling me how good this is. Stoked to have one all to myself. The 2 two roads sound really good as well.
    [IMG]
    And last but not least, some tasty sweets which my little ones have been tearing up! Thx so much for these amazing boxes Erika, you killed it! This has been one hell of a box opening weekend for me.
    Cheers everyone

    Have we talked about this before? I vaguely remember talking about this with someone at some point... So my brother-in-law uses 13 Virtues passes to go to GABF and used to brew some there, my sister-in-law is the manager of the pub (Philadelphia's) for the brewery... small world? Brother-in-law was completely stoked when we found out they won a GABF Silver.

    Still haven't actually had any of 13 Virtues beer oddly enough. We were out in Portland for July 4th last year to visit with them, drink beer and wine, etc. Got off the plane, picked up by my sister-in-law, and went straight to a bottle-share that we weren't warned about and thus had nothing to share. Not a single person cared, shared whatever they had with us. We found the beer drinkers of Portland to be a very cool crowd.

    Hay dude, would have loved to but I couldn't make it out in time to get enough so I had to trade some WW brews I had in an IP to get my bottles and unfortunately they are all spoken for. I will keep an ear to the ground and if I can trade for another it will definitely be heading your way. In the meantime if you ever need a #GoPickItUpForMeBro shoot me a message and I will try my darndest (I'm about 45 min away from the brewery).

    I must say I'm a bit disappointed with this beer. By that I mean it's not as good I was hoping. It's a really solid beer but I think that I put it up on a pedestal in my mind. I'm thoroughly enjoying it on this wonderful end of May!

    I thought the same thing with this batch at first, but after several sips and just a little time sitting/warming, I thought that it got much better! I'd say it's their #2 beer behind Square Grouper for sure.
