Today was one of those work days that calls for a pint of 9% abv, doesn't hurt that this one is delicious.

    Dear[IMG] BA's,
I "Snowglobed" this beer last evening. Even though I do not regret any of my opinions of last night, I must digress. The one I had as of last evening was of the production date of March the 15th.
Today I see in my sights a sixer with the P/D of May the 19th. Have to see if there is any reduction of sediment so I grab it.
Folks there is some sediment but it has been reduced drastically.
Folks this beer is drinking fantastically. This is smooth, juicy, tropical fruity, finishing with piney bitterness deliciousness.
Hard for me to say but they have overtaken one of my favorites Seahag for juicy, Hoppy, bang for the buck IPAs.
OC is on the board and moving up.
I apologize for my snowglobing (still needs a tweak though..).
    Sincerely, Tasters Choice.

This was going to be an extra to a respected BA member until I read several poor reviews. So I'll take one for the team...

Aroma is dark bread, perhaps pumpernickel, faint caramel malt characteristics and dark fruit, akin to prunes. Taste is sweet, artificial to an extent, combination of over-roasted malt and dried (stale) prunes. Right after the fruit aspect, there is an incredibly bitter sensation and palate is dry, very odd. Mouthful is rather thin as well. I'm no expert on this style but can safely agree with the less than favorable reviews. Too bad, nose had such promise.

Two Roads: unbelievably mediocre (Saison excluded) considering the brewing pedigree.

    On to a Sea Hag.
