In principle that's a great idea, but if I held onto every beer that was worth sharing, I'd have 900 bottles at my house.....


Fuck, I already do for that exact reason... I have to drink this shit eventually.

This, however, actually could work. I'm going to be in Lancaster next week. It's a family trip, but I'm going to see if I can get away for a bit.

That is definitely part of it, you're right, but there's a ton of "single" bottles that I would rather share than dome solo as well.

 

I've had literally the worst luck with shipping in this thread. @funhog your LIF box went out yesterday and today I get notification that it's been damaged, is undeliverable, and is coming back to me. Fingers crossed but we'll see.

 

I was watching it on tv live actually. I just wish Emily Jones was a little hotter and her dress a little whiter.

Yes. I know this dilemma. I have a million bottles I am waiting to share, only because I don't want to be doming a lot of 10+% beers myself, plus I enjoy sharing. It's tough sometimes though to not open something alone

Though, I am still up waiting for the wifey to get home, so that could easily become 21....but it is looking like 20 might be the number after Thursday.

 

Highlights of the night:

For me - Nelson (obviously), L'deracola though it had a ton of ginger, I though it was alright, Petite Sour Blueberry was amazing. Cone Crusher was like a blast of tropical fruit, mostly mango, in your mouth.

I didn't really think much of the Shut Up Meg! Didn't see how it was a Farmhouse IPA....not much hop character or bitterness

 

I've avoided those Evil Genius Beers. Clever names don't = good beer, haha.
No mention of Bourmuda Triangle ? Would assume that was the evenings WINNER !! How good was that beer at the release ???

 

Their beers aren't usually bad, so much as just rarely impressive. Their names are something to behold though.

 

Oh ha. Yeah Bourmuda was good. I've had it a ton of times now, love it. At the release it was ridiculously juicy and the hops shined, now the barrels are taking over and it's really tasty in A different way. Flavors are balancing and smoothing out

 

Anyone been to a game in Detroit? Thinking of going for a series wondering best (safest) place to stay haha

 

Safest place to stay in Detroit is "Not in Detroit".

 

I would stay in Warren near Kuhnhenn, Scramm's, Royal Oak and Griffin Claw but that's just me.
