Finally it actually feels like June in Chicago! Enjoying a saison I made last summer on this fine warm evening. This one is my base saison made with Omega Saisonstein's Monster. I might follow up with one that I copitched with Saison de Lente dregs.

Averagely perfect saison courtesy of @JohnSnowNW

I'm not typically a huge saison fan, but this is very nice. A nice peppery spice and subtle malt notes. Hats off to the brewer, @VikeMan for organizing, and the recipe contributors.

    Cheers!

Drinking my second batch of Berliner Weisse, watching the Cavs and hoping they can pull off something miraculous. Unfortunately the picture is from a bottle from last week's vacation. Now I'm stuck back in Ohio...

Belgian Blond Ale. My first all grain after 10 yrs of extract brewing.

Malt: Belgian pils, Belgian pale, carapils; Hops: Styrian goldings & Kent goldings; Wyeast 3522 Belgian Ardennes.

Very fruity aroma with lots of apple and pear. Didn't achieve the clarity I was hoping for, but I like the flavor. Cheers!

Called an audible during brew day and threw inn a frozen pizza. Unfortunately I did not cook it in the mash, but I did add roasted red peppers and minced onion. Washing it down with some pale ale. My second of two extract 'practice' recipes, and this one surpassed expectations. Centennial, cascade, and simcoe - 2oz each, no dry hop (made me more nervous than the extract did tbh). Hasn't cleared yet, but it's drinking very well.

    Cheers!

This is my raspberry BW brewed last summer. It's better than ever right now though as significant sweetness has dropped out.

Pours a very hazy reddish pink that goes from clear to opaque as the beer settles which I find astonishing. Really nice tight soapy bone white bubbles. Nose is first sweet with subtle tartness.
    No malt on the smell.

Taste is all raspberry, with a nice tartness. Not mouth puckering, a 6 on the sourness scale 10 being puckerlicious. This is crisp, carb is medium but so clean I can drink many of these. Really fun style to brew I think I'm going to do either a peach or mango BW next.

    Cheers!

Now on tap. Conspiracy Theory beer #5. Bilderberg Dunkelweizen. 4.5% abv. Tastes more like a mild or brown ale. No real "weizen" flavor too it. Note for next time, use liquid yeast.

No but I wouldn't mind hearing about it. I like my beers super cloudy, not as into the clearer beers.

Hefeweizen with late additions of whole leaf citra, and Amarillo dry hop. A good summer refresher!

KTG Clone. Under a Coleman popup canopy in a torrential downpour. The gods were angry on this particular Sunday my friends. We even saw a tornado try (and fail) to form.

Made a marijuana infused IPA that I cracked earlier... Not too weed-y, but definitely there. Almost had a Belgian yeast type flavor, though I pitched a NW ale yeast--- probably an off flavor?

pretty sure I got a bit of psychoactivity out of the weed, but its fairly mild.

Not sure if I would make it again though.

If you are into these kinds of experiments, next time try a barley wine with MJ. I remember reading a story about Michael Jackson sampling someone's barley wine with mj that he supposedly liked a lot. Never tried it myself, but if you choose to experiment in this direction, please report back
