What beer are you drinking now? #974

how is it drinking? My dad was kind enough to stop by the brewery to grab me a couple bottles a few weeks back (on account of me being 3.5 hours away in Dallas). I'll be getting them when I'm down there later this coming weekend. He says it was good, and I beleive him, but he's not what you'd call a serious beer drinker...though we're getting him there!

Had to get one bottle. Still better than 99% of hoppy beers on the market. My interest in IPAs is waning but this satisfies. Tropical with tinge of pine, balanced and smooth for the abv.

Good afternoon all,

So I have committed plenty of time today performing fatherly activities (take boy to hockey, go to gym, do yard work, run laundry, mow lawn) so now it's time to relax, drink beer, grill and watch the open. First up?

 

All week the "weatherpeople" were talking about the 36 hours of hell we were supposed to get around here on Sat/Sun. I avoided buying tickets for a game today with the impending doom.

When a guy breaks up a perfect game with 2 outs in the 9th by leaning into a pitch, you could hit him OR you could just drop a 9-spot in the bottom of the first. Nice job Nats.

It's dry, partly sunny with some nice blue sky peeking through. I had to fire up the grill.


For me - Johnsonville Brats boiled in beer (old Celebration/DFH 60) with peppers and hot sauce and finished on the grill. For the boys, Hofmann's beef franks. Not our typical hot dog, but the people around here from upstate NY swear they are the best made.



Going with a Ballast Point Dorado now. I don't usually pick them up, but this was a mixed 6 and its from May, so why not?
