    Blonde/golden Belgians are not toward the top of my favorite styles, but this is a damn excellent beer. Usually the coolest named/labeled ones dont deliver on both fronts.

    Pseudo Sue in 12 oz bottles. Doesn't get much better than that...

    On the move again - tonight we are camping at Raton Pass, NM, at the top of the mountain, 100 yards from Colorado.

    Earlier we visited the St. James Hotel in Cimmaron where outlaws (Jesse James) and lawmen (Wyatt Earp) stayed. Got a pick six today in Taos to try some new beers:

    Rio Grande Brewing, Moriarty, NM - "Pancho Verde Chili Cerveza". Smells like verde sauce with chili pepper flavor. This would have been a great match for the burrito I had for lunch. Otherwise, just ok. Cheers!

    Going to be unoriginal, but not unsatisfied. See several others enjoying Sucks tonight...cheers to you all! Just a solid all around IPA, and a go to when I want something that I know will be good. Consistently good, affordable, and able to get relatively fresh. Tough to beat for a widely available IPA.

    Opened this on Saturday, dropped in half a split Tahitian vanilla bean, re-capped and left it in the fridge for 4 days. Experiment a success! This is about as close as I have come to Vanilla Rye - has the same almost medicinal vanilla overtones.

    Now I can replicate the full on over the top VR, the next step is to dial it back to suit my personal taste. Next up - only 2 days with half a split Madagascar vanilla bean. Looking for a more earthy and subtle vanilla flavor.

    This is one happy lab rat finishing off the experimental results! :grinning:
