Sorry Erika, didn't know you were waiting on me!

Part of my 'wish list' was anything local you'd recommend I've not had. @dmbforever nailed it with this one. I've heard of Lakefront but never this beer. It's a sweet yet not too sweet barleywine. The whiskey adds a subtle nicety to it.

I hate to be 'that guy' but there's something terribly off with this beer @dmbforever. It didn't take me long to realize it. Actually could tell before I even tried it...

Sorry. Thanks @NJB145. Moar raspberries. I love raspberries in beer when well made, this qualified for sure.

I'm glad you liked the Killer Queen. I was drinking one as I was packing up one of the boxes. I enjoyed it a lot and was glad I picked two up so I could send one your way.

    Day 2 offerings :
The Crowler is Due South Mexican Stand Off and is what is poured in #pgw. Tastes really good and not like an 8.5% brew. Mariana Trench is a want but I will wait until the 7th when a friend of mine who wanted to try it will join me.
Not pictured is my proper Due South t-shirt. Another great day! Thanks @whyteboy003 !
    Can't wait for Day 3!

Well I was going to crash early and get caught up on some house work after the vacay but instead I decided to channel my inner @whyteboy003 and not only hit my extra 'day 2' beer but catch up on the 'day 1' extras too. Cheers!
    [IMG] - Want!
[IMG] - Great beer and one of my absolute go-to's!

@bevoduz Man, I do have to say if the Liquid Mounds doesn't win Long Shot then I am going to go ahead and say there are serious problems with their tasting panel. I'm going to go ahead and quote my wife here, "This is the best beer I have ever had." Wow.
RIP gentlemen... Tonight I broke my favorite tasting glass. A tulip provided by a great dude from the Fellowship of Oklahoma Ale Makers. If you have a spectacular tulip with a tight lip and a barely 12 oz resevoir gve me a holler, I am in the market!
To celebrate, and because I couldn't bring myself to drink beer after my loss, on to a mead I have been holding on to. Damn dude, dangerously tasty. I can't help but think with a couple ATMs this could be a great summer keg!

So I partially open my Day 2 brew and find a corked and caged FW logo staring up at me...cue excitement!

Nose was oaky and the taste was tart with a fairly strong grape presence.

Another want hit by @Kylo76!!! Thanks again!

    Indeed we are! :grinning:

I owe my day two and it will be forthcoming. Up at 5AM to go fishing with a lifelong friend. Get in the door and its back out for a picnic with more friends. Did i mention that i couldn't get to sleep until 2AM the night before? :slight_frown:

On the positive side, a friend who likes to exchange beer with me, brings me an Uncle Jacobs.....so i drink that, 2 solo cups of Peanut Butter Cup Coffee Porter (only 1 check in @LehighAce06 ) and a Flying Dog Oyster stout. Just got home and have to get the little one to bed and then it is on to day #2! Tomorrow may be rough......

Day 2 Courtesy of @RuckIt another new tick.....

Clown Shoes Blimp...11% Imperial Red Ale aged in Chardonnay Barrels...the barrel character is quite soft and the beer itself takes center stage. I paired it with dinner tonight and enjoyed it out of my new Firestone Walker Titty.

Pan seared chicken deglazed with an amber ale, amber braised baby bella mushrooms and balsamic and raw honey baked brussel sprouts...

of course all of this was enjoyed while watching our US Women win the Women's World Cup!

    18 & 40 fish, or 18 & 40 pounds of fish?

Nevermind, his friend is obviously Jesus, so really they caught 1 fish, and Jesus did the rest.
