Had a long day, including a housewarming at my new place, with some fantastic food; I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out, and with the reception to the food and the brew.

I served up some burgers marinated in chipotle-infused VT maple syrup, topped with cheddar cheese, bacon marinated in apple cider syrup, and vinaigrette marinated portabella mushrooms.

Alll that went with some regular burgers (for losers, I guess), hot dogs, BBQ ribs, buffalo chicken dip, pasta salad...etc.

    Oh, and beer.

    Lots of beer.

    Cheers all and good night!

A very good DIPA. great nose some pineiness. A little sweetness in the malt.
Based on the label's artwork I feel like this is a beer that @Greywulfken or @Giovannilucano or one you other metal heads should be drinking.
I'm not much of a metal guy but I will put the horns up with Dio any day of the week

spent all day cleaning the house and shampooing the carpets so thought I'd dip into the stash in the crawlspace and might even do a writeup or two for NBS (I'm not overly wordy when describing/liking beers)... first one is courtesy of @whyteboy003 from a massive porch bomb a month or so ago

first Canadian beer other than Molson I've had and very good but just noticed in the exchange rate I was shorted .5oz lol

    Cheers BA's and LNBA's!

Now enjoying a Schlafly AIPA. Haven't drank this beer much this summer and forgot how good it really is though it is under the radar.

    Go Cards. Finish it.

Although it may be "sacrilegious" I am drinking some mountain fresh Rainier (good stuff) straight from the can. I guess I am washing down the previous two Lagunitas citrusinensis (great stuff) i had previously.

Nice beer, but I'm gonna have to take their word that cherries had anything to do with this.

Maybe one more Schalfy AIPA for a nightcap.

Nice win Bucs. I would have taken Rosenthal out. But that's just me.

    Finishers:

Delicious fruited wheat. Big watermelon, strawberry, lemon, pear, apple, and light banana/clove yeast/fruit flavor; with balanced wheat, biscuit, light honey malt sweetness. Light spicy/bitter balanced finish; moderate creaminess. Very robustly flavorful for 4%. Need to review the Apricot one they made last month soon to see if it matches up with this. I may very well be buying more of this one if I see again it though. Flavorful session beers are winners.

Good pale ale. Tangerine, grapefruit, strawberry, lemon zest, orange peel, and piney hops; with some moderate toast/biscuit malt and a sticky/resinous mouthfeel and finish. Very smooth and drinkable. Working through the last half of the summer mix pack.

My go-to milk stout. Big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, dark bread, cream, and light vanilla; with some balanced earthy/herbal hop flavors and light-moderate herbal/roast bitterness; with a nice creamy mouthfeel. Got one more left in the fridge, but I'll be buying it again soon enough. The original tops the nitro version for me as of this year; after buying nitro for a good few years prior.

Bought another fresh 4 pack today, well priced and a really great DIPA. Bright grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, lemon/orange peel, and pine; with some light honey/bready malt balance and a nice smooth and moderately crisp/sticky hop finish. All around great balance and complexity of hop and citrus/mango fruit flavors; and very drinkable for the ABV. This is definitely one of my most bought Evil Twin beers, even though most of the bombers are higher regarded overall in my book. Price point is far better, and regular drinking beer is not in Bombers for me anyways.
