I find my usual friendly self being really curt and standoffish about people who want to talk about beer in the checkout line or aisle of a grocery store in particular if I am buying beer there...

I have done this once at a show...I had purchased a few in the parking lot and it was time to go in and I had a pretty full one left and a totally full one, so I stopped by the trash barrel where everyone was finishing their beers hurriedly and shotgunned the one and pounded the other...I got a mixed response...I mean you are supposed to drink it from the can so I assume shotgunning is more acceptable than using a pint glass...

I have drank several beers from hotel room plastic cups. When I was in the Air Guard I finally started taking a glass with me on my monthly journeys, but unless I pick up a glass from a brewery visit, I rarely have one available on business trips. Perhaps the most recent offense was a plastic cup delivered Deschutes Fresh Squeezed.....

When it comes to IPAs and DIPAs, I have no tolerance for ones that I do not feel meet my expectations. In other words, I end up drain pouring a lot of new IPAs and DIPAs regardless of their BA rating.

I drank a Pliny Sat without taking a picture of it. Kind of wish I had though. It was not only in a solo cup, it was a matching green one. When in why did they start making solo cups in Pliny the Elder green???

Also, I dont really like Arrogant Bastard. Then again, they told me I probably wouldn't.

VERY entertaining thread! Not sure if this is "sacrilege", but I occasionally open my cellar door and just look at my stash.:astonished:

Yeah . . . I drink out of shakers a lot of times. From beers like BCBS to Hopslam and some other IPA's.

    Meh, still tasted great.

If I drink a couple beers at night usually the last couple are straight out of the can because my mind tells me "If I do this I don't have to wash so many glasses when I go to bed"

    1. Somtimes I leave the last .5 oz in my glass and pour my next beer in it without rinsing (even if it's going from an IPA to a stout lol, I just don't think it matters much)

    2. I get mildly annoyed with people who know I'm into craft beer and start making suggestions on what local beers I should try (uh, I've had them all - thanks). But I understand we were all new once and try to be patient.

    3. I went to a party where all they had was coors light - not only did I bring my own beers but I brought proper glassware. May have come off as beer snobbish, but I didn't care (plus I shared a lot of killer beer with people who were blown away by it)

    4. I routinely drink until I fall asleep (I work all day and take care of 4 small kids all night while the wife works, so yea at 10pm I crack a few open!) and sometimes wake up next to half of whatever I was drinking (and an annoyed wife)

    5. I've paid crazy prices for rare beer, only to trade them away for an even crazier amount of rare beer(s). I'm a capitalist, what can I say??

    6. I regularly drain pour beer, even if it's just "OK" because I have something else lined up that I think will be better and have no patience for bullshit.

Hm, that's it for now.....; )

I have (semi)chilled a beer in the vent while the air conditioning was on - just out of pure laziness to walk to the fridge.

Had so much CBS and KBS flowing at Founders Fest recently that I ended up mixing 6oz or each together. I was scolded by one lady, but I'm not ashamed, it was fantastic.

This weekend was our first real hot, sticky summer weather. I made a shandy with pink lemonade and Summerfest. Then I tried it with Finest Kind. Helped me bear the hot and humid.
