I haven't headed over yet. Can anyone there say if there are 180 or more people in line?

As someone who did not wait in line due to the line, I still prefer the current system for first come first serve. If you go to tickets, the brewery loses as people will not go out there and drink from the taproom.

But, it does take care of all of the people solely going for mules.

    For what it's worth.

Today I showed up at 4pm, and was back in my car, with my 1 bottle, 20 minutes later. They had strategically moved the line into the shade, I barely broke a sweat. I could have had my fill of pours with minimal wait, minus Atrial, if I had time.

All brownpapertickets.com does is create a nationwide system of mules through the use of proxies.

Look at AleSmith. Their use of tickets was successful at first, but now you see bottles selling out in 3 minutes. All the same problems, just a different system. These issues are not exclusive to Jester King, they are happening all over the US.

Not really a bad problem to have if you're a brewery. Minus the guy bringing grandma and the guy I saw last night bringing his 10 friends to buy 11 bottles, it's a pretty good system. I went last night around 9. Got my bottle in 15 min.

You were much more efficient than I was. I showed up almost exactly at 12 noon. I had my beer by 2:30. In that time, I bought 3 Stanley's pizzas, learned "Stanley" was a bull, drank an Atrial on tap, drank a Prairie Noir from a bottle (from the Pasture Bar), hung out with some cool dudes from Houston (in line in front of me), and drank half a gallon of water.

More efficient, yes, but I think I had a better time. I worked at Walt Disney World for a while. On my off days, I realized the real fun was chatting with friends and Line-Neighbors moreso than the actual rides.

To each their own. (I'm pretty sure I'm going to patent a hands-free parasol after chatting with the Houston dudes.)

Had a great time at the release today. Did I wait for 2.5 hours for it? Yes. But I met some awesome peeps in line, ate some Stanley's, grabbed some drafts with new friends holding my spot. Jeff @jesterkingbeer realized that change in bottle line speed is needed for this size/hype of a release and I presume changes will be coming. Cheers to JK crew for dealing with the heat and keeping the lines moving (albeit slowly); cash line would be sweet! See you all next time around

Drove an hour with my wife...saw the parking lot and line was ridiculous at 3pm, so we left. Really disappointed....only 2500 bottles...no wonder this weekend had so many issues since everyone thought they only had one weekend to get it. But hey, at least JK made more Nocturn -- which lasted 5 weekends, so apparently not as much of a customer demand -- and going to make more Fen Tao (both of which they said THEY like better and therefore made less of Atrial) instead of making their most popular CUSTOMER favorite beer. That's why I'd never make it owning a small business....I'd fall under that stupid mentality of producing more of what my customers want rather that taking the "I'm going to make what I want" approach. Silly me.
Just venting as I've never had it and was hoping this would be my chance. Kudos though to all who braved it and got a bottle.
Unfortunately I'm disappointed in the lady who I saw holding a baby (couldn't have been older than 1 year) at the back of the line in 95 degree heat.

Only quoted to point out how goddamn badass it is to see breweries engaging people and giving props to one another. Less and less of this kind of thing in the last few years... but it seems like the best ones are always going out of their way to love their peers.

Hey Ken I can see myself in that picture!

Kudos to Zach who out of shear kindness brought 2 cases of bottled water and handed them out to anyone in the line who wanted one. He probably helped prevent a few cases of heat stroke.

It would have been close, if you got in line at 3, but I think you would have gotten your bottles.

A girl in front of us tried getting multiple bottles by going thru the line 3 times! She was caught each time, and only received one bottle.

It's your typical BA bitch session. The only thing I'm surprised at is entitlement was only mentioned once and that was from an out of state BA.

This wouldn't be a bad idea, sans the mark up, but have a cash and credit line. It wouldn't be hard to require people to bring exact change for a bottle or 2. Depending on limits of course.
