Founders Finally Coming to MD

Veeeeery limited. Really wish we got more of their stuff because the few beers I've had from them have been very good to great.

Never seen Grimm around. I thought I heard Ithaca was coming as well, anyone know anything about that?

 

While we're on the rumor train, has any heard that Avery is just waiting for it's contract with it's distributor to expire?

And, yes, my fuzzy brain seems to remember talk of Ithaca over a year ago but never heard anything more.

 

Check Max's for their special events. They usually have something from Grimm.

 

Casey from Max's confirmed Founders for end of Oct, beg of Nov with ridiculous kick off event at Max's. Max's will also be doing a Grimm event during Bmore Beer week.

 

I remember hearing a few months back something about Founders saving a keg of CBS specifically for Max's to show they were serious about coming into MD, hope that keg exists and shows up at the event!

 

I would love to have access to Carton, but my impression from my friend who lives in Hoboken is that they don't make enough to distribute enough to us too...although I coudl be wrong.

 

Yeah, Carton is very limited. Not easy to get even in the NJ area. I sent a tweet to Founders, Legends, and Max's yesterday. Founders didn't confirm or deny the rumor!

 

I feel like me asking for Carton is like people in NJ asking for DC Brau OTWOA when it is sold in cans at the brewery 95% of the time.

 

The rumors are true, Founders is coming to Maryland in October. The problem is they only want to start with Baltimore City at first which will be extremely frustrating to the rest of the state.

 

If that's true, that's slightly disappointing, but it's close enough. They should just copy Bells and exclude Montgomery County.

 

How'd you find that out?

 

Source from within Legends, the distributor they are going with. They hashed out some details not too long ago and the stipulation of them starting Baltimore City only was talked about. Now, whether or not that will be the case, we will have to see.

 

I don't know fellows, they announced distro to Northern California and Nevada today, no mention of MD.

 

If all these rumors turned out to be false or they change their mind at the end, it would be as bad as 2012 when Max's already had a Kickoff Event planned.
