Grist House Gratzer, Spoonwood Freemang (Brett Brux Trois IPA), Dancing Gnome's smoked stout, and Bloom Brew's smoky sour thing that was weird but good.

Things I had had before but were also good, Voodoo BoC, Hitchhiker Berliner Weisse, and East End Wheat Hop.

I missed a lot of tables though.

HAHA this is hysterical coming from the homebrew master. On multiple occasions I've read how no brewery in Pittsburgh or surrounding areas can live up to what you can make at home. I'm no master cicerone like you but I can tell when a supposed "IPA" is brown and has no hops.
Back to answering the question.... No I like a lot of the Voodoo brews and Brew Gentleman has made some good ones too. I enjoyed my stop at Draai Laag but was let down at Hitchhiker. Roundabout is a brewery I'm always happy to see what they have on tap or what's new.

I vastly prefer BG and Draai Laag to Roundabout. Just my opinion though.

New DL labels. 100x better than the ole designs.

This seems to be the popular opinion and I agree as well. It is BG, DL then the rest kinda just get jumbled together. BG and DL seem to be pushing things forward and are trying different things while they are also honing in their regular staple of beers.

Wow, the new branding looks sharp. Cheers to that!

    FTFY. Wow, no kidding....MUCH better.

Assuming these 4 are the ones being released...what are the two blurry guys in the back?

EDIT: last one looks like Aureus

I haven't been to BG yet but the two beers of theirs that i had of theirs at caliente were terrible, a mango habanero ipa and that one they had a firkin of a few weeks ago. I'll make a trip out there eventually.

DL is good but not many of their beers stand out as something I'd want to drink more than one or two of (except the briars).

Those bottles look really good. One question: Was Geestelijke actually fermented in a barn in Millvale? I'll hang up and listen.

    Either way, I like it.

I'm just being a d-head about the label saying "Farmhouse Fermented Ale." Just an awkward way to phrase it.

I guess it probably should say "Fermented Farmhouse Ale" instead of "Farmhouse Fermented Ale". I didn't notice.

The brewery I can't figure out is Hop Farm. I feel like they have faded off into irrelevancy. They seem to suffer from a lack of connection with customers and frankly it seems as though nobody is talking about them, good or bad.

At least recently with Spoonwood and Hitchhiker, they have been engaging with people more and are trying to change perceptions of their respective establishments. Knowing that Hitchhiker is making changes, motivates me to head out there and give them another shot.

I think they are the perfect example of a brewery operating from a different perspective that gets brought up here from time to time...

They are only irrelevant to "us". They're certainly not suffering from anything. And while "we" don't ever talk about them, plenty are, cause they're always packed.
