    Greetings all,

My sister-in-law is getting married on the west side of Michigan and wants a Michigan-Made light beer option.

She has already been told by her beer supplier that Short's Local's is not an option, as it all goes to bars in the area.

I was thinking of a handful of other options- New Holland Full Circle, Detroit D-light, or a Wolverine Lager variety, but I am not sure these are available in the area, and she's really looking for something "light" for the old guard guests with soft palates.

Any west-siders have any suggestions for anything "light" that would be readily available on the west side of the state in kegs?

    Any suggestions would be helpful!

    Thanks!

All Day IPA. I'm not sure it gets much lighter yet still flavorful.

Motor City Ghetto Blaster went like crazy at our wedding by both craft beer drinkers and Bud Light folk.

I'm pretty sure that "All Day IPA" is not what you're looking for, and I think you've covered it well. Why not just get a case or two of domestic light bottles and call it a night? Elderly people are set in their ways, why not just give them what they're used to?

Yep, sister's going to have to bite the bullet on this one. Unless someone makes the six hour drive to Shorts and back for a keg of locals.

SHORT'S LOCAL'S LAGER IS DEFINITELY AVAILABLE.

Ok, so now that that's clarified, she must have received incorrect information. Order it from any beer store that brings in kegs- and let me know if there are any issues.

I'll add the Short's Pontius Road Pisner the list for consideration if the Locals can't be found. The pilsner may not be any easier to find either, but it's a good one to consider if it's available. @HopHeadHerman ?

Definitely unavailable, at the moment. Local's replaced it.

I'd go with the Wolverine among those. Bell's Lager of the Lakes would also be a good bet though I'm not sure how easy that is to get in a keg.

Perrin Gold. Easiest drinking MI beer, IMO.
