I don't have a clue. Most of the info I get from them seems to change like the NE Ohio weather anyway, so I rarely ask anymore.

THIS. I assume the criticism was less to do with where their Power Ranking is and more to do with, "How does one dominate a state it cant even distribute all across?"

Why is everyone taking the words of a salesman as gospel or some sort of affront to Ohio beer nerds lol.

Right. Someone with a financial investment in the success of the endeavor is obviously going to paint it in the best possible light.

I get the hyping of product from a salesman but some of this stuff is what's irritating about craft beer. Anyway, I won't lose sleep over anything beer related.

How big are these pours? Haven't been to any in the past years.

Unfortunately this will be the first (since 2010 maybe?) Fat Heads Celebration of the Hop festival that I won't be able to attend. It's always one of my favorite events. I wouldn't worry about the pour size. It's a pretty relaxed event, although it does get busy. I'd suggest the day session if you can make it.

They bought some of their new equipment there and were invited up to visit Portland. Not distributing there. Anyone with a license can go and buy it from them for retail or us beer fans just go and buy it ourselves. Another canning party this coming Sunday!

At one time, they were owned by the same people. Years ago, the restaurant was sold to one operator and the brewing side to another operator. The brewery has outgrown their production and are moving into a 50,000 (I think) square foot facility on the near west side. It was the old Hills Distributing warehouse but they sold their operation to Heidelburg a few years ago.

    Clear as mud?

I replied on the wrong post. Also, North High has a Brewer who worked at Anchor Steam. Here's some suggestions and these two pubs always get some good Columbus beers:
North High makes strong beers all around:

Also a link to Central Ohio breweries:

Lots of good ones but these two bars are perennial winners:
My all-time favorite is St James Tavern. Awesome beers!

    Bob's has 38 taps:

Correction on my last post about Fat Heads Celebration of the Hop Festival:

Catawba is actually Catawba Island Brewing of Ohio, not the one from the Carolinas.
