Looks like I missed you, and a couple other Ba's today. I had to work, so just stopped to grab a couple 4 packs and a glass. Hopefully I will get to hang out for Blabe.

One constructive suggestion I would have for the next time is to have a carry out line only sign or something. A bunch of people that were staying to drink were standing in line to buy cans instead of going up to one of the other bartenders to get drinks. If everyone was worried they were going to miss out, isn't going to disappear. Especially at 11:45. I sat there for 2 hours at Musk release and grabbed mine on the way out the door.

Everyone there was great again though. Love the arcade game!

I think they did actually run out of cans today.

I saw one guy putting at least 8 cases in the trunk of his car, so quite possible. Was definitely a lot bigger crowd a lot earlier than the Musk canning. Do you know how late in the day?

They ran out around 4:30pm, I think it was? Long lines but a good crowd! I was surprised about confirmation of the Maine distribution but it's only 150 cases at first with the collaboration and part of Portland Brew week.

Moms Jeans was only 8ABV but had the complexity, layers and flavors like something much higher. It was absolutely delicious!

I got there about 3:25 and they said the cans had been gone for at least a half an hour.

I got there at 2:50 and thankfully got my (2) 4-packs right away as they did sell out at like 3:30 or so. I was told by the brewers that they went through 200 cases. They expect every DIPA release to sell out with their increased popularity (good problem to have!). So yeah, they officially sold out this time around.

I felt bad for the guy next to me when he arrived at 4 or so and they were sold out... And with only 20-cases going all around Columbus where he lived, only a slim chance he would be able to get it. I ended up selling him 2 of my 8 cans for $5 so he could enjoy as well.

I kind of hope they put a sale limit in the future if they will run out so quickly going forward... Perhaps a one-case limit per person so everyone can get some in the future.

@WesMantooth - I was wondering if you were there... We got there late this time around (last minute decision, was going to skip this one but caved in!). We should for sure be at Blabe unless something comes up, but hopefully not!

Unsessionable appeared to drop in Cincy last week. Brentwood Spirits, Cappy's and O'Bryan's Wine and Spirits all had it in stock on Friday.

200 cases in 3 hours?:grimacing: Disregard my "carry out line" suggestion then. :slight_smile:Sounds like it's time for some limits. I just waltzed in around 12:15 for the Musk canning and there were only about 20 people. Casually drank some beer until well after you got there and that is when I grabbed my cans on the way out. I always wondered what the Jackie O's scene would be like if they were centrally located. We may find out soon. Wish I would have had time to try Mom Jeans. Sounds like everyone enjoyed it.

Nice move parting with a couple of your cans BTW. If anyone missed out on Musk let me know. I still have some left. Can bring some if I come back on the 18th.

Picked up a sixer at Rozi's on Saturday. Warren Beverage and Broadview More4Less got some and I believe Royal Park in North Royalton did as well

For the Cincy and Dayton folks, Cappys and Belmont both came and picked up several cases of Konkey Dong. Definitely worth seeking out today, i like this batch of Dong better than Blabe. Also,to build up more even more hype to Hillbilly Farmstead, they recently bought some whiskey barrels and are barreling a batch of Sticky Mom jeans w/ maple syrup.

Good hanging yesterday @BuckeyeBeerhead glad you eventually got some cans!

Konkey Dong is drinking beautifully! So glad I was able to snag some. I have to thank you for the assist on the cans! It's gonna be cool to try it side by side with some fresh Blabe in two weeks.

And mmm....Sticky Moms Jeans w/ maple syrup. *insert Homer Simpson drooling pic*

I don't understand their new distro timeframe, why wait 2 weeks after canning/release to hit distro? I'm sure 2 weeks doesn't make a huge difference but it's still annoying. If I can remember correctly Galaxy High was 14 days old when it hit the shelves.

My guess would be to draw more people to the brewery for the first day or two because they know it will be a couple weeks before they could buy it elsewhere. I guess I can see why thats a positive for them but I remember previous releases hitting distro the very next week. Seems they won't be going back to that

FWIW, Anderson's has had at least a few cases of Musk sitting there the last few times I've stopped in. It's solid, but nothing I'd ever wait in line to buy.

I can see why their double IPAs are gaining so much attention. I've enjoyed their stuff from day one and I'd try to talk them up on here (mostly because of South of Eleven, which is still my favorite beer of theirs). So many others wouldn't really give them a chance because of their name. It was a good ride of having them on the DL, but I'm happy they are heading in the direction they are headed. I'm sure they'll be expanding again before you know it... I hope so anyway.
