I'm back.
Ithaca Beer's Creeker 2015 Box of Hops!

This was bottled on 10/7/15

Hazy golden with a short creamy head after a vigorous pour. Bubbles are buoyant. Sure does make a splash in the glass.

Nose is pungent with citrus. Floral and a light honey. Peppery herbal hop and pine . Grapefruit lemon and fruit peel.

Taste is a generous helping of tangy citrus with a pineapple backnote. Good smooth malt that is crisp and just sweet. Pine needles. An expert bitterness flourishes as it lingers to show lemon pith and more grapefruit. Finishes crisp and with pepper.

This is the best Creeker yet. Cheers!

I'm having a few beers at lunch too while working from "home". Work starting on my new roof today -- again, something that must be done that I won't get to see or appreciate for the most part. Home ownership, eh?

 

Wish there were more American ESB's available but they probably wouldn't be as good as Fuller's. Lord Rear Admiral was good but pricey for an ESB.

Settling down after a busy day working on the AC and taking the mutt to the groomer. The cooler weather had a mouse seeking cover in my outside condensing unit before I left town. That's the last time that mouse will mess with electricity! A dead mouse, a fifteen buck capacitor and I'm ready for next summer.

The trees still sporting leaves are changing overnight. A stand of maples that never disappoints is turning into a burning juxtaposition of gold and orange. Chilling out back and enjoying the show....

Well having the last of my Lawson's Super Session 2 for this week.

 

Sitting on my back deck enjoying this beautiful fall day and watching the occasional yacht heading south for the winter via the intercoastal waterway.

 

We don't get many Floridian beers up in my neck of the woods (even Jai Alai only arrived a few weeks ago) so when I saw this at my local bottle shop I thought I should give it a go. A nice, fairly aromatic, IPA.

 

Work beer. I was buying some supplies at Wal Mart the other day and this sounded good since I haven't had one in a long time. Key word is sounded. Now a Murphy's sounds really good.
