I was in a hurry to pick up some beer to have with the hockey game tonight so I didn't want to spend a lot of time choosing. I just picked up some Sixpoint Resin and ran home. Wow, I forgot how really good this beer is! Great hops, good body and perfect with some buffalo wings. Anyone else have a beer recently and remember how good it is?

Had Hop Rod Rye last night and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I can't quite say I had forgotten how good it was. But its been a while since I revisited it.

Its always a pleasure to revisit an old classic and remember all the things you like about it.

For me its Rushing Duck's "War Elephant".

With all the beer chasing and releases I forget how great I have it in my own backyard with this small but upcoming Brewery.

Having a 1/2 gallon as we speak.

I will not let this much time go by again before I have it..lol

Sometimes we spend so much time trying the next "great beer" we forget about the ones that made us love craft in the first place

For being one of the earlier American IPA craft offerings, I'm always pleasantly surprised how good Hop Devil is when I haven't had it in a while.

    Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout.

Is my 5th top rated beer on the site. I often wonder why I have it so high and then I buy a bottle and go "oh, yeah".

I recently bought a bottle. This was the beer that introduced me to oatmeal stouts. 15+ years ago it was one I frequently revisited.

Looking forward to revisiting it again after many years.

    Awesome!

I think, objectively there are far better oatmeal stouts out there. But this one just holds such a strong place in my heart. Plus I can never argue with the price. I'll pay $2.99 for a bottle of this all day long.

I wish I could just "forget" how good six point resin is...

Every time I open a Founders Breakfast Stout, I'm reminded how good of a beer it is. I only have a couple per year and am blown away time and time again.

Recently purchased a 12-pack of Bell's Two Hearted in 12 oz cans. Freaking awesome IPA when fresh.

When I'm able to find a fresh sixer of Ballast Point's Big Eye, let's say it gets thrown in the basket even after my Beer Funds are Maxed Out.

I'm as guilty as the next guy in chasing down the next great beer. But what really amazes me, is the BAs that never revisit beers. The whole point of trying new beers for me is about finding the ones I want revisit.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Regaining that" wow, I forgot about that! " feeling.

Allagash White. Every time I have one I wonder why I don't buy it more often.

Not a specific beer, ill find out in a few minutes on a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, but American Pale Ales in general after having....

    • Troegs Pale Ale
    • Lagunitas New Dogtown
Im now seeking out classic flagship APAs and IPAs because they are so solid there's no second thought about if i bought a beer i may not like. (I get burnt A LOT on spending for a new beer and then not liking it) so in general i so far cant go wrong with that.

This happened to me once with DFH Indian Brown Ale... I vowed to never let it happen again. Couldn't believe I went several years without having one.
