First of all that bread looks amazing. Red Lobster like bread.

Second of all, we initially were never closed. Afterall why close when you can make cash. By our second year we decided to close around 8 days (NY day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Xmas eve, Christmas and NYE). Employees respond to time off.

Unfortunately I'm working in Milwaukee these days instead of Minneapolis. Town Hall and the new Surly beer hall are really missed.

Dat beer... I was randomly in Minneapolis one weekend for a wedding and 3 hour tour was on. Pretty sure my wife was considering skipping her flight home so she could drink more 3 hour tour...

I'm not saying this doesn't exist, but I've never heard of it. And I've sent 12-bottle shippers through as luggage enough times that you'd think I'd have heard of it if it was a real thing. Occasionally they make me sign something acknowledging that they aren't liable for breakage, but that's it.

 

1st off, Ill reply with my snobbery, these bread are way better than Red Lobster, of course living by the ocean, you soon learn difference between sea food and Red Lobster.

We aren't allowed by Corp to close any other days than Christmas and Thanksgiving. Easter at 1st was a total loss, but now Easter is pretty busy for us. We are one of the only places open and to make Corp not pull our SFA, my and I would be the only ones working Easter, but now we need a full crew, its too busy. 4th of July at the beach is one of our busiest days/weeks of the year, same with other summer holidays as most of your customers are in my area. But yeah, I would love to have the choice to close more days, but corp doesn't allow us too.

Well, I guess I should know that inland offerings and seaside offerings are different. Shame on me.

LC corporate says do what you want, but realize we're both in this together. Instead of making employees work on holidays we have floated down the creek/river together, held kickball games, hot dog cookouts and bowling tournaments. We lose xx,xxx each year but the fun we have together is worth it.

 

Turkey Hint #1: Shipping North to a state I've shipped to times before
Turkey Hint #2: I -think- I have my beers picked already, or at least I have 4 of 6 picked, with another that's an almost certainty unless I see something else that really looks good. 3 of those beers have a common word in their title (not including the brewery).

To my sender: I haven't updated my wants in a while and don't think I included preferred styles when I signed up. 'Big beers' (Barleywines, Stouts, Old Ales, etc) are favorites, as are Sours and IPAs. Honestly I'll be happy with anything I haven't tried before, though I'm not a huge fan of lagers except for the bigger ones (like doppelbock).

No I understand what your saying, and I would do similar but summer is our bread and butter, and if Corp gave us the choice I would be closed Easter. Right now we are planning a team rally, instead of our normal yearly breakfast. Well its still a breakfast, so everyone can attend, but its going to run a couple grand between room rental, food, and prizes. e do our best with one store to reward our employees, but at times we are too close. My wife just gave one employee a gift certificate and the next day she called out for one reason, but post on instragram what she was really doing...
