Infusing a Dragon's Milk with coffee and vanilla in my Randall Jr. and about to open it.

Did this yesterday with two friends. All are amazing. My order was SMS, KBS, then BCBCS, but we did BCBCS first and it was the coldest, which I am sure was a factor. My one friend likes his BBA beers "hot", so he preferred the KBS. The other one just enjoyed them all equally!

And let me get in on this Coheed and Cambria love! Here is my favorite song:

Trying this bastard for the first time. Not a big fan of the original AB, but the barrel aging adds a nice touch.
    Cheers, BA!

Pretty fresh Double Jack but doesn't compare to the week old Double Jack I picked up at the brewery a few months ago.

Oh and yesterday I was drinking Truman's Bitter and their Ben Truman Export in the Gatehouse in Highgate. Truman's were one of the oldest breweries in London, and during the mid-19th century they were the biggest brewery in the world.

The Ben Truman Export is named after one of the more famous brewers, who joined in 1722, around the same time as porter was invented as a brown beer, sometimes made with smoked malt, more heavily hopped than other beers and aged in large wooden vats which helped to give it a unique flavour, popular with the porters of the city. Ben Truman oversaw the brewery as they became one of the main powerhouses of porter in London.

The pub itself is old too, on the outside walls you can still find a parish boundary stone from the Georgian period, marking out one of the boundaries of the St. Pancras Parish.

Honestly impressed here, this is the first white IPA I have had that actually delivered on the flavor profile I expect based on the intent/description.

Not over-hopped or overly bitter and a nice, soft carbonation that rounds everything out. I think the problem I've had with every other one I've tried is they end up coming across as an overly-bitter coriander-y IPA that just doesnt translate well, to me at least.

Judges are still out on this style as a whole for me but this is pretty solid.

    Cheers!
