I cannot wait to get my share for this year. Will probably wait til closer to Christmas as I associate this beer with Christmas like Celebration.

Last one, Ballast Point's Calm Before The Storm. Really cool beer - you see the color and wonder, "Where's the coffee?" Then you take in the aroma - coffee indeed.

Starting off this Monday with Coffee Pecan Pie Porter from Clown Shoes. They are really making some tasty brews these days.

Velvet Merlin. It's as light, easy drinking a stout as you'll find. A good choice for a Monday night. I can build up through the week to a crescendo.

I used to have one of 6:00 am start times but not anymore. I retired in July! But I surely know your pain.

I got a Founders ReDANKulous and it was one of the most disgusting things I ever tasted. Tasted like plastic medicine with some hops. This is a first for me, I have never "drain poured" a craft beer to date. The bartender insisted I not pay for it even though I was more than happy to. Maybe he tasted it and thought the same? Anyway...

I went and got this instead.

Wasn't planning on posting this one, but was wonderfully surprised. Originally a collaboration with Wicked Weed, this Super Flare is an Brett IPA with mango, guava, and tangerine zest (who knew guava's had "zests"). The ongoing brew is done by 4 Hands Brewing Co, and is a nice balance of the Brett and fruit flavors - also very refreshing (note: it is 6.5% on the bottle, not the 7.5% on BA, not sure if that's permanent or a yearly/brewery difference).

Left work a little early today to start a pot of spaghetti sauce and enjoy my last Two Hearted from a recent trade. Cheers!

Backwoods Bastard 2015 and nice to have it fresh. Half tonight and half tomorrow - hey the ABV is higher this year.
