what bums me out I see that it's already on draft but, in locations 40 plus miles from the Pottsville area? That is according to the beer finder on their website.

Well the Yuengling IPL may be exiting for you since they are not using Pilsner malt in their IPL.

Have you tried Sam Adams Double Agent IPL? There is no Pilsner malt used in making that beer: "two-row pale malt blend and Munich malt."

    Cheers!

Alright then... like I said before I will try it and do my best to keep an open mind.

To people who think this beer should be mind blowing or there's no point ? thats just non sense. I see this beer Being a reasonably price hoppy solid beer. Why does everyone think a beer has to be mind blowing if there's some hype behind it.

I'll be looking for it this weekend. Just in time for the Halloween party I'm going to.

I wonder how this will compare to Jack's Abbey's offerings for hoppy lagers
I'll definitely try, I have some friends who are from PA, so downed a few Yuenglings in the past, this could be a decent cheap beer

I hope yuengling goes the way of narragansett and the lovecraft series, and does their normal light lager thing then offers a line of pretty decent beers

They do make a light munich malt which is used in many of the newer style Oktoberfest beers and results in a lighter beer the color of a helles beer.

Looking forward to it as well. Flying Dog made one that was fantastic, and got my hands during a beercation of some Jack's Abby brews in the same vein that were good as well.

Looking forward to this spin that Yuengling will put out, as their Summer Wheat was real solid too.

I view this as being a BA thing. I personally do not expect that every beer I drink should be "mind blowing" but maybe I am a minority BA person?

    Cheers!

I wish there were more beers that were light and crisp as well as being hop forward. I think that is a great combination.

Summer Wheat was decent will give credit their, but did not care for their octoberfest. Honestly, I'm weird my go to cheap beer is usually Genny Cream Ale.

5 hours!! That's Alabama! Closest Yuengling to me. If I had the time, I'd leave right now. Would love to drink that beer. Ipl, Ipa, don't care. Taste it first then whine. Cheers!!

Yeah, unless they're using some previously shot video, the corn grits in the video does strongly suggest it, like the other Yuengling products, is brewed with adjuncts.

A "hoppy" beer coming from Yuengling? ... gotta try this. I don't like their other beers and hoping this will turn out to be more than "just another tic" - with all due respect.

The newest Lovecraft series brew, Reanimator, is basically a hoppy lager, and it's really tasty!

I suspect some BA's don't drink that much beer compared to others...like they'll have a beer or two a week. And when you only have the time or the will to consume a couple beers, you kind of want them all to be the bomb.

I don't operate like this, but that is my guess.

I think it may seem im actually bothered by it but i was just about done drinking for the night when i posted that haha. I can understand your point. I guess im also different in that id rather have solid drinkability and a night of beers than only one outrageously amazing beer.

Jack, I have a sample of it at the General Session of the KSQ Brewfest three (3) weeks ago. It had not surprisingly a visibly pale color in appearance, had a noticeably hoppy aroma and it tasted to me like a nice session IPA. I think the abv was at 5%. I tried to buy a sixer at Wegmans in D'town yesterday, but it haven't arrive yet.

    Cheers!

Richard, does it have a watery mouthfeel?

    Cheers!
