Finisher...so clean. Flavorful, with only moderate bitterness. Not a tropical bomb, but some citrus and grassy floral hops. Really hits the sweet spot.

Had Weyerbacher 20th anniversary on tap a few months back. Picked up a four pack tonight for the Mets game. Only having one and putting the other three in the cellar. Since the spices are too prominent for what I'm looking for in a belgian I will revisit this in six month intervals.

    Reviews:

Very good schwarzbier. Nice lasting head retention and lacing down the glass. Aromas and flavors of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, dark bread, and light smoke; with some light-moderate herbal/grassy/light peppery hop flavors. Light-moderate herbal/roast bitterness on the finish; with a well balanced roasted bitter/sweet finish with nice malt complexity; very flavorful for the 4.9% as well. Very smooth with moderate bready creaminess and light roasted malt/hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Extremely clean with zero yeast fruitiness or off flavors. Overall this was fairly impressive, definitely enjoyed it. Had pretty much everything I expected in the style. Not too many complaints other than the weak aromas, very well done.

This one is courtesy of @butters_mcgee. This was excellent! Aromas and flavors of big bright grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, and pine hops up front; followed by roasted coffee and lightly nutty/cocoa notes from the coffee; all finish off with moderate honey/bready malts and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine/citrus rind hop bitter finish; with a very smooth and sticky/resinous mouthfeel with a a good amount of dryness from bitterness after the finish. No astringency from bitterness at all, nice malt backbone that isn't overdone. Really great balanced hop and coffee flavors with no coffee related bitterness at all. Overall I was a big fan of this, awesome hop complexity with modest coffee character that melds well but still lets the hops shine. Can't wait to try the regular Flower power again, haven't had one in years. Thanks again butters, only a few more to go.

This finishes off all the Hideout bombers I have, until they do more mix packs. 36 reviewed since mid June. Damn nice stuff! Aromas and flavors of caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, and light herbal hops; with moderate amounts of fresh/meaty/spicy red/green chili pepper flavors. Nice balanced pepper spice on the finish against the malt sweetness; with a mild amount of warming heat building up on the finish as you drink. Overall really enjoyed this one, minimal complaints at all. Very similar to the Bell Pepper red ale, but with spicier pepper notes that aren't overwhelming. I actually prefer this over the other one. Really delicious.

In honor of the Royals I'm starting with a Boulevard Silver Anniversary Ale. I had a bit of a cold & now a sinus thing. Time to try a few beers I thought might not think would age so well. This turning fruity & the hops are but gone...

Oh yeah, go Royals, I guess...

I had my annual physical doctor and lab visit today. I have not drank any beer for a couple of days, because I wanted to clean out my system prior the doctor. Big thanks to @5EKF for my return beer.
