Speaking of beer...

My middle school computer students are working with Typeform this week. No blue waffles on any of their surveys yet, @Haywire. But every time I open one up I cringe like Will Farrell testing jack-in-the-boxes in Elf.

 

Not even sure where to start with this one. I've seen the crazy shit @blue-dream includes in his boxes but never received one. Before today. Before even getting into the box I see this:

There are two t-shirts, pretty ho-hum but on top of that there are TWO tank tops AND a Malibu cape! While it may not come to fruition I've got some awesome video ideas in my noggin.

so im digging the new fedex that shows the estimated time of arrival. got a box in ct scheduled to arrive between 10:20 am -12:15 pm and another box in il scheduled to arrive between 7:40 am -11:50 am.

Don't you hate when you can't share funny stories like that with students? I remember on a couple occasions where I'd start telling a story to my class and then realize partway through that I couldn't finish it because of various illegal things that happened at the end!

 

Hey FIBs, some info please.
Where in Chicago are you allowed to buy singles and 6-packs.
Convenience store, supermarket or do you have to hit a bottle store?
A woman that works for me is driving out for her son's hockey tournament
and I was going to get her to pick me up some stuff if she can do it without
going on a quest. Revolution or Pipeworks likely to be on shelves? Normal stuff,
nothing special.

I am not a FIB but from the several times I've been there, Binny's Beverage Depot has always been a great place with lots of variety. But there are probably better local joints out there

 

Honestly, @Ol_Johnny_Skippelwicky is pretty much on point. The easiest place to get anything you're looking for will be Binny's. and they're located all over the city.

Other than that, there's a few local bottle shops in the city that have a pretty good selection as well:

Beer Temple
West Lakeview Liquors
and Whole Foods is actually pretty good as well.
