High West Distillery: Did the tour, bought the whiskey & work shirt, wear the shirt often, the end...You my friend are a craft beer prude.:slight_frown: Hope to never see you in a Penguins or Flyers sweater, b/c that would just be wrong, eh?

AND, I wear my Grain belt truckers hat daily w/ great pride, sometimes w/ the whiskey shirt...oh my Lord, mismatching whiskey & beer...The humanity!!

Most of the beer clothing I wear was a giveaway or a gift from a family member. I'm not going to plunk down $30, $40 or $50 for a shirt. I don't like paying above $20 for polos that I wear for work.

I have like 4 brewery t-shirts and wear them pretty often. Basically on a weekly basis. They are shirts, I like these breweries, therefor I like to wear the shirt

This pretty much says it. Throwing on a brewery t shirt to run to the corner store, or wash the car...cool.
Wearing coordinated beer ad outfits and going to the bar...hmmmmmmm

Im kinda weird about this. I have a ton of beer t-shirts but i will never wear a brewer's shirt, because im not a brewer. Also i never wear a brewery shirt to that brewery i.e. Ruthless Rye shirt when visiting Sierra Nevada. That being said i do usually wear another breweries shirt or beer related shirt when i visit breweries.

That's the real truth of it, all kidding aside. What you are into is a part of you, so that's why we wear it- it's about us, not about advertising.

Disclaimer- I haven't seen the sort of thing the op is talking about, though, but if I did see somebody with not only a t-shirt, but hat and all that other gear I'd definitely have second thoughts about just how sincere that person was. Then again, a short conversation usually solves those issues one way or the other.

It is a contest to see who has the most obscure beer brand on their shirt. Anyone who says anything else is either lying or doesn't know any better.

Wait a second, when in the flying fuck did it become cool to hate "da evil marketers?" What kind of insane logic is it that it's a point of pride that you aren't getting tricked by "the man", who's really trying to help your local brewery whose beer you drink? You're paying someone to wear something no matter what. If you wear a blank white shirt, you may no be saying WHO you support, except nothing, but you're still paying them. Do you not want something you enjoy to be successful? What in the actual hell is going on here in this thread? Am I not adulting right by not wearing blank t shirts only or something?

Well...you're in Minnesota, so I haven't seen you all decked out in your whiskey gear. If I do, I will retract my question regarding wineries and distilleries.
Also, going to an event and cheering for a team, in my opinion, is a bit different.
I'm glad you enjoy your shirt and hat though...very edgy.

Haha, I love the "edgy" description, I'll remember that quote when I'm "representing" whiskey/beer, it'll make me feel 10ft tall & bullet proof, thx!! Go MN WILD!!!

Cool...you should go on the pro/college team forum and start a thread about it!

You've never seen a Jack Daniels T-shirt? They're so ubiquitous and the logo so familiar that there are parody shirts based on the design. I'd guess there are probably more JD shirts than any single macro beer brand.

I have a rule that I don't wear T shirts with anything printed on them. On the other hand I have like 3 brewery work shirts that my kids gave me over the years and I wear them every now and then, mainly because it is the only style of shirt that I like to wear (bowling cut). But I have never worn one to a brewery, for some reason that just doesn't work. I do have a pint koozie from St. Arnolds and I get shit from every brewery that I go to when I bring it.

Doesn't bug me... got plenty of shirts... occasionally wear them, ironically don't wear them too often going to breweries I find... I don't get dressed up to go to breweries that's for sure

I kind of look at it as the sort of people who wear t-shirts of their favorite bands, and so forth, so it is whatever it is.

Depends on your age I suppose, I think it's ridiculous when I see a middle age guy wearing an AC/ DC shirt. I like them too, but I'm past rock band shirts and beer shirts in general. My one exception is a simple Beer Love shirt from Brawleys in Charlotte, he gave me the shirt, love it.
