Sorry no picture, but just had my first FBS. I'm new to craft and building my tolerance to bitter, but this isn't too bad since the bitterness is a coffee bitterness, not hops.

This is a very clean tasting APA. I would have liked a little more umph in the way of malt on this honestly though.
I Do love this brewery though and a major part of this is the soft mouthfeel I get from either the spring water or the filtration they use. It's just finishes like few other beers IMHO....[IMG]

Second beer of the night is a bruiser, weighing in at 9% and way too easy to drink.

I've been neglecting funk lately so figured I'd jump back in the mix with Mr. James Brown and an album with one of my favorite covers ever.

This one may look deceiving, but it is a turkey in disguise. It was average at best. Only drank one of the 4 pack for proof. If I recall, this is a '13. It had almost zero coffee flavor and the flavor came across as cheap. Not surprisingly, it is still not good. While it smells decent enough, it tastes like a bitter, sour Nestle Crunch bar soaked in a $5 bottle of whisky named "Whisky". The worst part though is the carbonation. I don't know if it is infected or not, but it is like a semi-flat Pepsi with bretts/yeast. I don't know about you guys, but I am going to dump this shit and get a good beer and lace up my Pumas for movie sign. I am going to rock the first listed one on youtube (54k views) FWIW

Check the stratification of the sediment - three distinct layers with the one in the center having the iridium laid down after the Chicxulub meteorite finished off the dinosaurs.

This beer taught me that wine bottles and beer bottles don't necessarily have the same size neck bore. The plastic wine stoppers didn't fit tight enough to prevent the carbon dioxide from escaping and to prevent oxygen from entering. The flavor is like some old cherry wine that's gone completely flat - no alcohol, no diacetyl, no hops, no malt, just old cherries with a hint of metal. I had a hell of a time getting this to ferment - tried three different yeast - the last being a champagne yeast that finally worked.

Followed the Xocoveza (much earlier) with another dip into my OB IPA - which has really grown on me - and then a local, Pikes Peak brewing's Devil's Head Red Ale (somewhere between an amber and a porter, fascinating, 7.3% abv, good grain malt/hop balance).

Cheers, BA's! Almost movie time here in NOVA & I'd like to take a minute to thank each & every one of you who participated in today's turkey beer festivities! I'm on to my final (& most controversial) selection:[IMG]

    Say what you will,
I feel that this stuff is swill.
    It truly makes me ill.
With every sip I taste nil.
Please tell me what's on the malt bill.
One sip & I've had my fill.

    THE FINAL DOOR:
