Proper Day 1 beer from @LehighAce06 - Powertrip Technology from Tired Hands



What a dirty, delicious IPA - love the Nelson Sauvin character and the oats give it a great mouthfeel. Reminds of Cellarmaker's Wicked Juicy I had the other day, which is their take on an East Coast IPA. Stoked to have a proper glass to pour it into as well. Thanks Kevin!

 

Day #1 (my wife's beer): Other Hand El Dorado. At my parents, didn't bring glassware so.... drinking out of wine glasses! Really solid beer and have my beer coming up later!

 

Everywhere around me is confirming no variants this year, including places that have gotten variants in the past. Got excited when a buddy said he heard back from a place that got 48 regular 48 barleywine, then corrected that it's 2014 BW (?????)

 

It was like Christmas morning all over again. I woke up and tore into the wrapping paper early this morning, and I've been looking fwd to this all day.

Turkey Sixer beer #1, courtesy of @Louis121, with an assist to @UcDru for #datglass. This is Pipeworks Mocha Abduction. Damn, this is tasty, and it's perfect for a chilly night like tonight. Really digging the bottle art, too.

I'm not sure if ratings reflect it, but this may be my absolute favorite beer.

 

So relieved that everything made it! Enjoy and can't wait to see what you think of day 1.

 

I'm not sure if Montana is #1, but I definitely associate the Pats' QB with (a piece of) #2...

 

Thanks a ton @Corriecrafts -- I'm almost done with the first half (or so) of day 1 -- I'm not sure EXACTLY what's in here (they are kind of evasive about the hops), but it's really good. And while it's obviously not a session beer, I wouldn't have guessed it's 10%. (and 32 oz at 10% is a lot, at least for me -- but I'll take one for the team). #L4L
