Yeah, might as well blow it up anyway.

 

I want to stick to the 6 days, so I'll unwrap it and if it seems like it'd be rough I'll save it, especially since flyers play Tuesday. I did bring a few other beers with me... And I'm staying a short 15ish minute drive from pizza boy so I can get some good beer easily if I need to this week.....

Beachwood- System of a Stout. @PG2G just shredding through my wants. Unfortunately all my wants seem to be of the higher ABV. Absolutely a kick ass box so far. I can only imagine Day 6 is going to be icing on the cake.

Got to try a bunch of Steel Toe from @mkhartnett in last year's 12DOX. He sent some of their IPA's and Scotch ales if I remember correctly. New tick for me...decent brew! Thanks @billhelm

Huge dilemna here, had a fun afternoon if you've followed check-ins, and although this is a break in style as Chad mentioned, certainly not a break in ABV...

But, huge style like here - if my French isn't too bad, some kind of black cherry strong wild ale, and a rater I've traded with and have alot of respect for gives this one some really high marks.

I think I'm going to save this as a nice break to a ticketed GI tasting I'm going to tomorrow, my local is nice enough to allow some bottle share as well. Can't wait to pop this though!

Cap that I couldn't place. Smell is bourbon and coconut. Taste is amazing. Coconut, vanilla, chocolate. Tons and tons of coconut. God damn this is good.



And Nicky nails it again. Another big want. I've been feeling kind of jealous seeing this thing get passed around like a $2 barbie doll this week. 15%?! It's hidden well. Thank you Nick!

Day 5 - I saw a big bottle wrapped and wondered if it could be... Of course, @vitaminvert is crazy like that and sent me my first Casey!!! Woah!!! So, so thrilled about this. However, I will not open this today. A good friend of mine and I have been talking about trying a Casey whenever one of us gets one and I will have to hold on to it until next week and share it with him. I hope you won't mind Andrew. I can tell you that whatever that last bottle is I will open and drink tomorrow.

The nose is quite oaky and subtle wine notes...on the palate quite tarts more oak and a finish of coconut. Since the cork and cage was taped securely I did peek at the fw barrel works cage. Not sure what this is but it is quite tasty...
