Alright folks, we've built up his ego too much...he's now referring to himself in the third person

 

If he keeps getting great beers into the area he can call himself "King Randy- master of the beeriverse" for all I care
Plus he's practically a celebrity. I heard someone talking about him at MD Robinson.

So what were the deets today at Hal's?

 

What do you guys think of buddys brews in south side?

 

I think they have the best case selection in the city and the guy has split cases up before, which is awesome.

 

The place was empty...big time score for the four of us rare beer club members!

 

And thoughts of packs & dogs in mt wash ?

 

Offfffff course it was.

They said they sold 84 bottles in 20 minutes. Doesn't sound to me like it was empty. Unless Robgage bought it all.

 

I mean... it didn't really take me 20 minutes to load my car...they are totally exaggerating!

Huge fan. Owner is a great guy. Selection is great. Prices are what they are. I feel like they're in line with what others charge, mostly. Why do you ask?

 

I just don't see them talked about much on here. I always thought they had great selection w/ fair pricing as well, just didn't know if I was missing something obvious.

Maybe it's just bottle shops drive the convo here...

 

Pretty much this...most folks are only buying singles/four, six packs...

 

I bought the winter mixed case from Draai Laag the other day. Before that I hadn't bought a case of anything since I bought a case of Backwoods Bastard 2013.

 

I usually buy <$40 cases to have in the fridge and I usually stick to stuff I know I'll be happy with. It sucks to roll the dice on a case of something new and not like it. Founders, bells, victory, and Sierra are always safe bets.

 

My go to as well. The owner is awesome.

 

It was my favorite place when I lived in Oakland and then Southside. The 6 pack place on Mt. Washington is ok, but you're not finding anything better than you can find at your local whole foods or market district GE.

 

What an event - one second I was quaffing Casey saisons the next I was taking a piss in the bathroom next to a crying college girl in a schoolgirl outfit and two dudes in the stall doing coke.
