As some other members have said, this is quite excellent! Lots of coffee, chocolate, and vanilla notes, as well as a very subtle hint of hops, but not over done at all like 3F can do from time to time.

Deschutes of the day #3, probably the weakest of the group (I doubt Black Butte XXVI is going to suck).

Sometimes paying attention when the kid's shows are on pays off with something fun. I turned on the stereo system to get the full effect.

    Hey happy HD.
There is nothing to me like a finely crafted Pilsner.
This Pilsner has it all. The aroma, the malt, the classic German hops. The look.
My friends I'm going to say this may be the finest American crafted classic Pilsner that has ever tantalized my taste buds.
Crisp, clean and just delicious. This is damn good IMHO, world class. Can't wait for more!!![IMG]

    Onto a Ridgetop Red.

Pours a light prune juice color with 70% opacity. Off white/egg foam colored head @ 3 fingers. Lace is good.

Smells closer to a scotch ale with sticky aromas of fig, plum, and some roasted malts, twist of lime.

Tastes like a Scotch-lite. Lots of bread and caramel, fig jam, yeast, and a slight metallic finish.

Light to medium bodied, well-lit carbonation, semi-dry parch.

Not a bad red ale, just more like a scotch. I could have taken more sharpness from the beer overall.

This just showed up in my neck of the woods for the first time. I had the BA version before out of the kindness of a lovely Chicagoian BA that some of you might know.

    Mikkeller's Beer Geek Dessert.

I had been saving this for about a month and a half for a celebratory moment. Considering I finished finals today, and with just one semester left until I receive my bachelor's degree, I figured today was the occasion. I just wish I had a goblet glass for it. That should really be my next purchase.
