First time. I guess you would call this a Florida IPA. Extremely tropical tasting. Loads of pineapple.
I could see sucking a few of these down on South Beach. Bottoms up ![IMG]

and realizing that while i'm young, I really should be fearless.

Not a bad beer, just not blown away.

Pours a tobacco brown; 2 finger off white head; 80% opacity.

Wet, musty malts; some dry barley grain and caramel syrup; light straw. Quiet bouquet.

Taste is like the nose but more pronounced; mostly roasted barley, nuts & toffee, a bit of root or sarsaparilla; and a Euro grassiness thrown in at the end.

Feel is the best part. Rich and creamy, a durable and chewy texture; has a semi-dry nip at the end.

Overall impressions : It's not something I'd race towards to try again, but it's not a bad Munich Dunkel. In line with the German top dawgs? No, not really. There's less caramel and more straw and a weak nose overall. Yet, it's still not a bad brew to drink.

This Maiden-branded ESB is a crystal-clear, sparkling deep amber beer with a thin, creamy off-white head that quickly recedes to a collar; lacing is good, consisting of complex lacy bands. The aroma is moderate in intensity, leading with toasty malt and nice boozy overtones against a backdrop of caramel, green grapes and apple. Up front, the palate is boozy, caramelly malt with slight vinous notes; mid-palate, some toasty notes assert themselves and a mildly bitter herbal hoppiness emerges to balance the maltiness. The finish is well balanced and quite clean, followed by a mild herbal bitterness that lingers for a few minutes. The mouthfeel is commensurate with the medium body, and the texture is moderately creamy and pleasantly peppery from the optimally-expressed carbonation. Well done, lads. (16.9 oz bottle, 58 days after pkg)

Pulled this out of storage. Great Divide 19th Anniversary Ale. 10.2% ABV and Bottled on Apr. 22, 2013.

I thought this would be a dark beer, but it's golden in color. It had no head. The nose is very sweet smelling.

Taste - Somewhat interesting. Not sure it's in a good way, to be honest. It's very boozy, beyond that, it's kinda offputting. I'll finish up the glass, but the rest might be a drain pour.

    - "DFW 2014", a Dubbel, was good, but 2015, a rum oak barrel-aged cherry porter is so much better... and I'm not even a big porter fan.

Einstock White Ale from Iceland after Tlluminations. 2nd beer I've had by this brewery and they nailed this style. Very refreshing. Just a touch of coriander. Pale wheat. Delicate mouthfeel.
