Entering into it's third year, Collaboration Fest features some of the most creative beer projects throughout the craft beer industry. This year's festival will feature more than 75 collaborative projects from across the world, where each beer is crafted by at least two, and at times more breweries working together. Per festival guidelines, one brewery must based in Colorado and a member of the Colorado Brewers Guild, while the collaborating partners could be located next door, across the state, across the country, or even over seas. We can guarantee one thing: the beers of Collaboration Fest are sure to be some of the most unique, delicious and limited offerings you've ever tasted! Join us on Saturday March 19th in Denver!

This sounds like a good time... Any BAs attend in the past?

I have gone each year. They are getting better year to year. Largest issue last year was they did not list out what the beers were on the screens so you had to ask once you got through the line.

Like many collaborations there are some big let downs, some shocking surprises, and flavors all over the place.

The event last year was my favorite non-GABF fest of the year. In fact, it might be the best smaller fest I've been to since beer got huge. It's a nice facility with lots of room and the beers last year were generally good to excellent.
One that probably only I care about is Wit's End and Ale-Mania. Ale-Mania is a German craft brewery that reached out to Scott when he was in Bavaria over the summer. In terms of sheer distance, their collaboration definitely takes the cake.

Killer event this year. Easily one of the most fun and unique experiences (you'll seldom find the beers made again). Nothing will stop me from going again next year.

    Sold!

Is there a considerable difference between GA and VIP, beer offering-wise?

Seems like people wouldn't know enough about the beer prior to the event, so 'usual suspects' that may get rabidly chugged would not in a case like this.

Last year VIP got in a little bit early, although there were so many VIP people that my wife and I (near the front of GA) actually beat several of them into the building. It's a long event, so both have more than enough time.
I don't know if any beers ran out before the near-end of the event last year. I know a few eventually did, but I think that was in the final few minutes.

I did VIP last year, but opted for GA this year. @Domingo hit it on the nose...nothing ran out until the end.

I asked this before in another thread, thought I'd ask again here. Is this an all age event? I'd love to go, but it might be tough if I can't bring my daughter with me.

How old? A baby is fine, a teenager is not. The venue is super strict on liquor laws.

She will be 2 1/2 then. It would be myself, my wife, and my daughter attending.

Any other BAs planning on attending this year? Anybody been able to preview a beer or two? I'm starting to get excited for this event

Looks like they're pulling in some pretty cool collabs from in-state and out w/ wicked weed, melvin, green flash, stone, ballast point, sun king, and prairie all making appearances. Can't wait to see how odd 13 and liquid mechanics funkified kettle soured black ipa turns out. Oh and the S26 CCBC and Comrade might not be too bad.

I'm going. I tried a couple collabs so far, most recently the Cerebral/Goldspot IPA which was awesome. The TRVE/Prairie Peach beer was also fantastic, although it's my understanding that's not the one they are serving. Looking forward to this as well, this year looks to be great.
