Having a Storm Peak 4 Wire Pale right now. Really solid and drinkable. Definite west coast influence so don't expect a juice bomb but I could crush a million of these.

Just a heads up that we will be releasing Tandem Jetpack, our first DIPA, this Saturday (12/19). It is hopped intensely with Galaxy, Simcoe, and El Dorado. We will also be pouring batch 2 of Rare Trait, our IPA. We upped the ABV to 6.4% and tweaked the whirlpool and dry hop additions (Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe and CTZ). We'd love to hear what you think of them!

What's the cost of growlers there? That is assuming you fill growlers  And if so do you fill any growlers or just your own?

    Superfan 3.0; holy shit!

I've been a proponent of the first two Superfans because Odd 13 were actively working on the style and getting close to it. The beers were not mind-blowing, but they were quite good and to-style.

Then comes 3.0 and completely blows me away! They've upped the haziness, cut the bitterness and brought citra back! This is not only a great NE Style IPA for Colorado, it is a great beer! Possibly one of my favorite canned offerings in Colorado. I am not exactly a "Superfan" of the NE style juice, but I would rank this up there in the same league as some of the stuff I've had from the big ones.

I've only cracked one, but if the remainder of this six pack makes me just as happy, you may have a superfan-superfan.

Went to Cannonball Creek last night, the Project Alpha #6 is great. Not quite on PA4 level, but not many beers are and it's damn good. Brought home two growlers

The Idaho single hop was pretty solid too

    Wow. Really?

I'm glad you enjoyed it no doubt and I'm sure I won't get any "likes" for saying this, but IMO none of these three Superfan beers are even remotely close to Trillium or Tree House.... I REALLY REALLY hope they get there, but... it's not even close right now... #reversehomerism

    I TOTALLY hear you!

Some of the stuff I had from Trillium and Tree House were better or worse than 3.0, so I say that puts them in the same league in my book

I am not a huge fan of the pineapple juice beer someone like Fiddlestick puts out, maybe you're looking for something even more juicy. For instance, I liked Green more than Julius.

All that being said, take it for what it's worth

Now I will say that I really like the 3.0 and I applaud them for their attempt at the fruit bomb "NE" style IPA however I do agree that it really isn't all that close to the flavor of a Green (Tree House) or Vicinity (Trillium) BUT not many beers really do. That's what makes them so highly rated.

I'll still be grabbing sixers of 3.0 because it's really good beer and local.

I have not had a 3.0, but I did drink a 2.0 directly after a Heady Topper last night. I like the 2.0 OK but It tastes really weird if I have it after anything. I've tried Superfan 2.0 after an Avery Raja and a Heady Toppper, and the superfan tastes almost pungent. I do not get this flavor when I have a clean palate. Anyway, I think Superfan needs to be more resinous. Even though the NE style IPA's are juicy they finish with a lot of hop / resin and have a thicker mouthfeel (I know it's a bit unfair to compare this to Heady Topper, but I'd love to see Odd 13 continue to improve). I enjoy Citra and am looking forward to trying 3.0. I missed 1.0. I go to Total Beverage in Westminster and they have not got 3.0 in yet. Thanks for your post.

So I just discovered that Old Chicago now has plans to keep Crooked Stave on tap.
They just recently tapped a keg of Crooked Stave Hop Savant - Centennial at the powers location. I was pleasantly surprised by how good this is. I'm going to go out on a limb here, this would compare well to east coast hazy juicy IPAs. I first had Hop Savant- Citra a couple months ago and was underwhelmed. This is a different beast though. Average on Untappd and on BA is both 4.22 right now, which is pretty solid.

Does anyone have more info about Hop Savant? Is it a straight up IPA, is there any wood aging or brett involved? Tasted like a straight up heavily dry-hopped IPA to me.
