    Trying another round of Negra Modelo after 14 months of not having it. Paid 50 cents in a bargain basket.

    My initial review was October 19th, 2014 (funny how that works out?). The first and only time I had this beer. My re-review adjusted the scores accordingly and they dropped almost a whole point.


    Re-Review (overall, 3.02/5)

    Pours a dirty mexican color, with a fluffy tan head of 3 fingers.

    Aroma is of stale grain, barnyard, and apple cores.

    Taste is of musty grain and amber malt, with a slight hopped straw flavor towards the end.

    Feel is starchy, plain, and musky. Moderate to heavy carbonation.

    Overall it's not worth another try. I felt this beer was great a year or so ago (3.84/5), but trying it again has proved me wrong.

    Don't know where the past few hours went. Came to on the basement floor. Thank god that's where I keep all my beer. Don't have a Wall 'O Heady like our friend @jzeilinger, but I do got some 'o dat dark sauce. It's gonna be hard to sit on any of these cuz they are so damn tasty. Cheers

    And although not deep dark death metal, this was the closest thing to it for me 30 some odd years ago, and just the right time of the year this would be on. Those of you in your late 30's or 40ish and had HBO when you were growing up would remember these guys.
