Good evening BA, hope everyone is doing well. Pretty bland day of work, pretty much nothing going on. Tomorrow should be short as well. Will probably wait until Thursday to drive to Ohio. Tonight's reviews:

This was really good! Really nice head retention and lacing overall. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, and light peppery hops; with balanced cracker/biscuity maltiness and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness; with a smooth and crisp finish; with some light-moderate bready malt creaminess in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate dryness. Very well balanced malt and American hop flavors; robust and flavorful for 5%. This was very vibrant on the hop presence in the nose, but more balanced overall in the flavors. This was delicious. It had a bit of a Vienna lager feel to it with the malt backbone, but not quite toasty enough to be in style.

This is a really nice amber ale. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, tangerine, blackberry, strawberry, mango, melon, red grape, pepper, and piney hops; with moderate malts of caramel/toasted biscuit and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate piney/spicy bitterness; well balanced hop/malt flavors; moderate creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Moderately dry from bitterness as well. This was a bit higher on the bitterness than I expected; but it had a really delicious hop profile from Pacific Gem, and a standard caramel/biscuity malt backbone. Very well done.

Outstanding IPA! Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, and pine hops; with moderate light caramel/toasted bready maltiness and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness; with a very smooth finish with balanced sticky/resins and malt creaminess in the mouthfeel. Moderately dry finish from sticky bitterness. Very bright hops across the board with a really good malt backbone without becoming too heavy or sweet. This was awesome across the board, loved it. Lots of complexity from C hops and Simcoe; with added oats and munich for a good malt presence and mouthfeel. Been extremely impressed with all of these canned reviews from Fargo Brewing thus far. These have all been really obviously fresh, despite no can dating. Got them right from the brewery last month.

A very nice twist on a classic porter. Aromas and flavors of big chocolate, cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, ginger, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, and toasted dark bread; with some light raisin/plum yeast fruits and herbal hop earthiness. Nice balanced bittersweet roasted finish; with a creamy medium bodied mouthfeel with some spice/roast malt stickiness as well. The ginger/cinnamon spice slightly throws off the overall amazing balance of the base beer; but as it stood, still very well done. Delicious!

    Cheers!

Watching the Arizona b ball game, and trying desperately to drink these before the date. I'm leaving work at lunch tomorrow to do last minute [IMG] shopping with the family since we didn't get jack done last weekend due to the graduation.

Just got out of my pre/post holiday store meeting, I hate speaking and running numbers for 4hrs . Got my stores numbers today and we beat every store in our district by about 50k/week all thanks to the stellar crew I've put together. This def calls for a drink! I won't be back in my store to manage anything for the next 2 weeks so they have a temporary store manager there till I get back from vaca. I hope the place doesn't burn down while I'm gone lol.

Hope everyone's day is going great!

That's why the quip on the lower right part of the label says "Chef's Surprise". :sunglasses:

One of these days they might do a BBLs beer that doesn't involve an adjunct that's basically spherical, and I have no idea what I will design for that label. But I'll cross that bridge when I get to it...

Okay, had to catch the end of the UVa/Cal game and it made me fu----rustrated all over again. I could try to rub it in the west coast LNBAs face that we pulled it out, but it feels hollow (plus many probably hate Cal as much as like). Gonna drink a far west USA instead of a Virginia beer to represent my disappointment in UVa's play (seriously, 18% shooting in first half?)

There is a wonderful and most gratifying amount of coconut in this one. (Pet peeve: Beers that claim to have coconut, but turn out to have undetectably small traces of it. Grrr.)

    Digging this a lot lately:
