    Bought this one several months ago. Taste was OK-- a little on the bitter side but overall I still enjoyed it. Nice to re-live some of those playoff memories and gloat a bit. Tampa may have the weather but we've got the Cup. Cheers to the Champs!

    Stopped by Mad Fox after my compulsion led me to the beer store, again! Got something for a Thursday Throwdown tomorrow, among other things :slight_smile:. Here's tonight's offering(s):

    The empty taster is Batch 500 - a very transformational beer in that it literally transformed from "beered-down" Jack Daniels to an ok beer. The taster warmed faster than a full pour but the change from horrible to drinkable in 2 sips was odd.

    the featured brew is Leaded, a coffee regular stout. Coffee forward in nose and taste, there's a nice bittering balance, as well. It's still a coffee beer first and foremost, and one I enjoyed.

    It's a cold night here in NJ and I'm really enjoying this Baltic Porter from Finland. It has more caramel than most Baltic Porters I've tried, as well as lots of woodsmoke, roasted malt, and burnt coffee. It's very good!
