Juicy Banger is definitely excellent. I'd say that, Superpower and Cerebral Rare Trait are my top 3 local favorite IPAs as of today. Don't get out to Cannonball Creek enough. I need too. Now if we could just get some more of these canned!!

I've tried Tunnel of Trees once and quickly requested a second and third pour.

Tunnel of Trees is good, but when I go to TRVE I'm drinking Scorn

TRVE's Black IPA is damn good, too. In general, I like their stuff a lot.

The new batch of Scorn that's on tap right now is amazing. Citra, Mosaic and Summit hops were used.

Wow that started off so good citra hops, mosaic hops, then did you say summit? I can't stand Onions in my beer..

The Citra and mosaic are way more predominant than the "onion" hop. I didn't get any onion flavor at all.

That's good. I actually really like Fate Moirai ipa it has like 5 hops in it and summit is one of them.I actually get no summit in that beer at all and I'm pretty sensitive to it. Do they change up the hops in Scorn? Saw Aaron say he really likes scorn and I know he hate summit also..

    Cheers

I don't know if it's always had summit hops in it or if that's recent, but I've never gotten any onions. It's the closest thing I've found to Gumballhead since moving out here

To clarify a few points, Summit is no longer used in Scorn or any TRVE beers. We had used Summit for bittering but have switched to a different bittering hop, so Scorn is now Magnum (bittering), Citra, and Mosaic. Also, Trees is currently not on tap but will be on tap again next Tuesday, 1/19 (or Wednesday, 1/20 at the latest).

Thanks for the clarification. I stopped into the taproom Last Friday night and the one of the guys behind the bar told me Summit was used in this current batch of Scorn.

Yes, it will. The 5.0 incarnation is more or less the "final" recipe and it's the first version to feature a full shrink sleeve on the can. The cans looks pretty bada$$ if I do say so myself. They will start hitting store shelves tomorrow.

Will it be available on tap and in cans at the tap house? Looks awesome!

4.0 is what's on tap in the tap room right now. Final version will be available in cans starting tomorrow in the tap room. I made a post on here a while back about how long tap room batches last vs. canned batches. Basically, a batch of superfan lasts around 4-5 weeks in the tap room. Canned batches are gone more or less the same week they are canned. This is the first time we've done this type of highly iterative recipe development, so it's also the first time we've had mismatches between the beer on tap at the brewery and the freshest beer on shelves. That said, 4.0 on draft at the brewery is tasting great. Serving tanks make for fresh tasting beer.

Big shout out to TRVE for no longer using Summit hops.

Can't wait to try the codename 5.0

I had the NB Citradelic last night. I did like it and feel like I could drink a bunch of it. Only issue I had with it was that the body was pretty light. Wish it had more body to it..

Summit isn't necessarily a bad hop, and it's not the only hop that can contribute onion and garlic flavors and aromas. From what I understand from growers, the onion and garlic is more a function of not harvesting at the appropriate time. Granted, Summit seems to be the biggest offender, but it can be a nice hop if used appropriately.

Does this mean that Nazareth will never be brewed again or are you changing the hops for the next 4:20?
