    Greene King London Glory on hand pump at the Albert Pub. Pretty uninspired.

    On the other hand this is the axe and chopping block in the Tower of London where (among others) Henry VIII had his wives executed. Note the marks on the block where the axe went through into the wood:

    Second beer, last one for a while. Got to finish stuff around the house before everything with this crazy wedding the wife is standing up in this weekend starts, and the beer drinker in me is taking advantage of her being at junior's school reading to his class before she comes back home. I am damn glad I got to buy this beer. Between this one and some various Founders, I've been drinking some killer Michigan beers the last week.

    Some beautiful beers flying around this morning, I see. More snow for Kentucky this morning (about a foot right now), so, more time at home for me. Waiting for a little bit to shovel my driveway. Enjoying watching the snow fall. Cheers BAs!

    As echoed by many already, happy Friday. I'm continuing the fridge clean out with an old Plead the 5th which I believe is from 2011. A pretty plain and boring label to photograph. Good thing the beer isn't! I'm quite amazed at how much dark roast and alcohol this still packs years later. Not much of a difference from fresh except for maybe a slight lack of carbonation. Still a win, but not worth waiting and taking up fridge space!

    Let's have a great weekend!

    In anticipation of New Beer Sunday I won't review this beer just yet but tropical IPA. Making Pad Gra Prow or Thai Basil Beef today. Cross your fingers I have never made it before. Cheers!

    We got some snow + wintry mix here in NC. I called out of work because I'm not risking anything, especially since I got everything I needed to get done yesterday. Everyone on the news here is telling me to stay home and not go on the roads. So, I'll listen to them.
