New Beer Sunday (week 571)



Now I know why Bear Grylls drinks spruce tea all the damn time on his shows. Spruce is good stuff.

 

Finishing off a "Black IPA" from 12 String called High Note. It's definitely a hoppy take on the style, with the dark malt flavor coming in a distant second. I had to add it to BA, http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/27007/212583/?ba=woemad for those interested.

Gawd, Sunday television is barren without the NFL. I'm strictly broadcast, so bear that in mind, but I'm reduced to watching local community college basketball right now: Community Colleges of Spokane vs Big Bend Community College. Ugh!

Pretty much, man. Looked, smelled, and tasted like orange juice, hops, and malt. Really glad I tried it!

 

Doing this post on behalf of my 76 year old father who is in New Zealand on the South Island relaxing. Earlier today NZ time he was drinking at a fair some beer from Totara. I've never had it, but I love that fresh NZ hop cone in the glass.





I truly wish I was there with the old man.
