    Totally agree that it's gimmicky and that BJCP doesn't touch this stuff. Came to the aforementioned/unofficial benchmarks from talking with industry folks and beer nerds.

    Draai Laag's opening tomorrow after redoing their taproom, & releasing Apples & Pears, with brett, white wine yeast, elderflowers, apples, & pears (4.3%); & Petite Ferme, brewed with wheat straw (yes, actual hay), citrus hops, & honeysuckle.

    Hopslam has hit Pittsburgh. Room mate picked up a mini-keg and two sixers at Pitts Doggin it in shadyside.

    They also said "bottles coming soon" on instagram. Not sure if that was a general statement, or if they meant they are bottling Apples and Pears soon.

    Robs triple IPA at the Brew gents might just be the best beer I've ever had. Just sayin'.

    Wow. Though the same thing, maybe he means helped him realize this scene is shitty with no trade-able beers besides the Voodoo Barrel Room stuff and vintage Gratitude?
