Happy Super Bowl Sunday, all! Your kids woke you up early, eh? Well, my stupid weather app sent out a voice alert at 3 o'clock this morning. Seems a blizzard warning has been issued for my area, starting at 7 p.m. What the hell am I supposed to do about it at 3 a.m.? Get up and head to Walmart so I can start laying in provisions before the rush starts? Oh, well, at least it's a pretty fine day as of right now. Think I'll skip the coffee and head right for the C.R.E.A.M.!

a day ahead with bacon, beer, eggs, beer, salami, beer, cheese...and maybe some beer (and, about 90-100 minutes of "freedom" as the trifecta of womanhood that permeates the household vibe will briefly vacate to leave me and my buddy to do what we do best)...and will post on site accordingly

oh yeah, and a game to watch (hoping for a decent game...and a mercifully short halftime show of suckiness)

Good morning everyone! I'm trying to get excited for the Super Bowl, but something about this matchup is just not that exciting. Hopefully the game will prove to be a great one though.

 

Trying out some new beer gear with one of my favorite brews. I'll be drinking the nitro version of this in a short while.

 

5% alcohol. 30 IBU.

Sixpoint Cream. This is very interesting. I wonder if the base beer is similar to Sweet Action. Cheers

Morning BA's, this is my new beer sunday beer and obviously I just grabbed it because it was something I haven't tried. This is La Barberie's inda pale ale. I haven't sipped it yet but at 5% it feels like is should be called a session IPA so thats not the best start, its supposed to be on lees but from what I saw it had floaters and it smells earthy leafy and a tad bready with a strong note of that same smell Macro lagers produce, that fresh crisp smell. If the smell is any indication of the taste this is going to be a bad IPA. Hopefully it makes for an ok beer but yeah. Cheers!

 

Actually had this last night (don't hate). Got this as a trade extra and just wanted to praise the awesomeness of this beer. Great Black IPA with a ridiculous amount of coffee. Getcha some if you can.

So jealous! I was there for the Endymion parade last year, was awesome. It was my first time in New Orleans. Hopefully I will make it back there again sometime. Cheers!

About to head into DC for the Flyers/Caps game. Go Flyers!

 

So a friend of mine invited myself and two others over to share a few beers last night. We didn't have nice glasses...in fact, "glasses" isn't even the right word. We used plastic cups, but you know what? These beers still tasted mighty fine regardless of what they're poured in...



I loved the smoky finish in MBCP, so the addition of bourbon to Morning Wood really brought everything together nicely...



I'd still have to say that Last Snow is still my favorite Funky Buddha special release, so Snowed In just blew me away! I love the strong heat from the bourbon up front, and I love as it mellows out into sweet coconut...



Last but not least, in Soviet Russia, beer drinks you! Nikolai Vorlauf was pretty tasty. Got a lot of chocolate in this one as it warmed...



In honor of Super Bowl 50, let's look back at the 2015-2016 season shall we? Cheers!
