What beer are you drinking now? #1206

A couple of relatively local milk stouts today. Firstly The White Hag (Ireland) - The White Sow chocolate oatmeal milk stout. Bit of a mouthful in name and in nature. It's thick and luscious, and the lactose sweetness and cocoa bitterness balance each other perfectly, I suppose in the same way chocolate milk and milk chocolate work.


Followed by the less-than-inspiring Pin Up Brewery Milk Stout which seems to be the polar opposite. Thin, overly carbonated, which masks what flavour might be there.

ClownShoes Space Cake at the Union Diner in Laconia NH, love this beer on draft. She is damn pretty also!

 

Man I hope you guys are drinking a beer this fucking good. So wonderfully aromatic and delicious.

 

Nice glass! Didn't make it to Rushing Duck when we were in the area, but did hit up PB (think partly on your recommendation, a while back when I was soliciting for suggestions). Cheers!

Good noon BAs! While a lot of you are done trying your hair of the dog, I chime with the OP today. Coming back from night shift feels like viewing the world wearing the darkest sunglasses during wrong time. It all starts to feel convoluted and a grand conspiracy designed to just fuck with your mind. However, one good beer and my friends, the world realigns like the needle of a good compass, bringing not just joy but also "I could care less about the mess around me" attitude. Overall just more of joy and love. Cheers!

Was up and out the door early this morning because the local distributor was supposed to open early to release their inventory of Hop Slam cases, so I rushed out the door feeling like, "I'm da man, baby!" ...



Get to the distributor - empty parking lot - all the lights were off - sat there for (20) minutes only to find out I was given the wrong date and it was LAST week.!.! Went to Wegman's out of desperation and was "lucky" (?) enough to get the last three cans.



So just sitting here staring at these three puny cans mourning the loss of my "manliness".



Two years in a row with the same thing happening ... a little early in the day for me but figured it was an appropriate time to crack one, I needed it!!

From late yesterday, had a Dragon's Milk with Chilis. Wasn't really a fan, tasted like a barrel aged Red Hot.


This was worth the 8hr wait! Shoulder on the left and ribs on the right. (mustard bbq sauce on the side, but wasn't needed)
