Is that even allowed to give out "free" beers ? Damn though 3 per day for life. If I lived right there and donated that much I would make it my mission to have 3 per day, for life.

Usually these crowdfunding deals aren't so much of a deal, as they are charity, but $1000 for beer for life seems like a steal for someone who lives nearby. I don't even want to know how much money i've spent at roundabout since they opened up.

$15/growler you'd make your money back in about 1.5 years if you went once a week.
$20/growler you'd make your money back in about 1 year if you went once a week.

Does "beer" mean all beers they make or just regular offerings? What if they have a barrel program? Imagine rolling into Voodoo with your "I'm #1" card and demanding a growler of GNVP.

That's only going once a week. I could easily drink 2+ growlers a week. Well, i guess that's assuming the beer is good.

I did that once, actually. They told me it would be waiting for me at Capri's the following day.

It's gotta be their staples (if they even have that right now). Could you drink 100 growlers of a shitty pale ale or a middle of the road wheat beer? Still though, it could be worth it if their normal beers are decent. Who's going to take the plunge.....for science?

Agree, curious of the legality of this. Bar close to us got in trouble for selling pudding shots $1/ea or $5/6, claimed it was promoting binge drinking and giving out "free" alcohol ... So I'd think PA-LCB would be all over this

I'd go every day to get one filled, even if I only drank a sip from it. I'd make my money back in 67 days.

Just split it up amongst friends. Throw in money and just go every day and get a growler fill. Even if you went one week, friend got the next, whatever.

$1k for beer for life is an insanely good deal IF it's beer you actually want. From the little experience I've had so far with War Streets' beer, they're a far cry from Roundabout.

And therein lies the bullshit if you ask me. Pay a grand now for beer that may or not be any good . No way to have any idea...because its not even been made yet.

I tried some of their stuff at a party they hosted a month or two ago (mentioned it in this thread when I went). Not very impressive. But I'm always optimistic about new breweries improving their beer quality in the months/years after they open, since I think it's safe to say all of our favorite local breweries have.

Wasn't there a whole ton of backlash over different promos/fundraising "offers" that brewery tried to push prior to opening?

I live 4 blocks away. I'm a glorified vagabond though, and haven't the slightest clue where I'll be in 2 years.
probably will only be open two or three days a week, with limited hours for the first year +
If someone wants to throw down ina group, with one "face" to it all, I'll pitch in. If the growler thing is legit that is.

Know we talked earlier here about Short's; an excerpt from a press release that really isn't all that surprising:

According to Jordan Fetfatzes, Vice President of Bella Vista Specialty Beer Distributors, “Short’s Brewing beers will stand out in the competitive PA market.” Jordan added, “We’ve known Scott Newman-Bale and the Short’s crew for over six years and are excited to finally be able to offer this fantastic portfolio of beers to our customers. This is a great day for craft beer lovers in eastern PA.
