Bottle store visits. How much time can you spend there?

The longest I've been 'beer shopping' in one store is about 25 minutes... I went with my brother who doesn't care much about craft beer. He just got there, and in less than a minute he had his 'Negra Modelo', and waited for me to be done browsing...

 

the bottle shop I go to has 25 on tap, I usually have one or two while looking at everything. An hour minimum.

 

20-35 mins if its a place I don't go to every day (Whole Foods).

 

Depends on what I told my wife I was going to the store for or how early I left work.

But I agree immensely with what someone said earlier about taking a second (or third) look... in a new store, if the shelves are packed, I often miss things or get distracted looking one up. Must take multiple laps.

 

I normally know what I'm going for, so I grab it and browse 5 minutes or so in case something else new has been put on the shelves that I need to discover and buy.

 

I spend about 45 minutes in a store. It kind of sucks because im hard on making a decision with things.

I can spend up to 45 min if there are a lot of new offerings, but typically 15 - 20 min does the trick.

 

Unless I'm specifically hunting for one item, 20 minutes is typical for me. If I'm in a store outside my distro area...look out. That can easily become 45 minutes or more.

 

It wouldn't be unusual to find myself in one for at least 30 minutes if not more. An hour wouldn't be shocking to me. Lots of internal conversation going on when I browse..."Do I really need more?" is the most prevalent thought

 

It depends on many factors. Generally, I will spend a fair amount of time browsing, but if I'm really dialed into something specific I'm more likely to quickly stop in and get out. Mood matters to a degree as well. Sometimes I just don't feel like messing around and I just want a good beer.

 

Usually 20-30 minutes for me as well. My family actually times me and gives me crap if they have to wait in the car for me on a beer stop.

 

The only reason I ever stay longer than five minutes is if I'm having to check bottle dates.

 

Most of the time it's like 20 minutes, but I've been a bottle shop for an hour before. I spent way to much that trip.

 

I can easily spend an hour at Total Wine but most other stores 20-25 minutes.

 

Depends on if I start 'talking beer" with an employee or fellow customer. Usually I'm an "in a hurry" type of shopper. Be it groceries, school clothes, whatever. It's always... get in, get what I want and get the hell out !! (just ask the wife) But when I go to a bottle store or total wine, time seems to stand still... One of the cool things about this hobby.
