Pirate Bomb! was pretty good, but I preferred regular Bomb! (as I have in all BA Bomb! cases).

I'm not a big fan of rum-barrel beers, but the Rum Monster's Park's are probably the best I've had. Rum King disappointed me. Bet Rum BT is super sweet.

Rum seems to accentuate the sweetness and make the beer hotter (alcohol-wise), both things I don't really like.

I would stay away from Lost Abbeys Ron Santo Diego (for us Cubs fans). It tasted like flat, watered down rum and diet.

I liked this year's Heavy Seas Yule Tide. The rum is pretty subtle, but still a very enjoyable beer.

    Pirate Bomb is my favorite
Firestone Maltose Falcons was aged in Rum Barrels as well as Brandy and Bourbon

Oddside Scally Wagger is probably the worst one, really terrible.

Innis & Gunn's Rum Barrel Aged is probably the best of their lineup. I like that one a lot and its always easy to find.

I have not tried many, but Rum BA Fayston Maple was pretty tasty, I think will be better with a year or so on it. Also, from Abandoned Building in MA, their rum BA Nightshade was quite tasty.

I came here to say two things, but the first two responses said what I was going to:
    Rum King
    Pirate Bomb!

You have to really like rum (and maybe care less about beer) to get into that one.

As for the OP, you already had my favorite rum BA beer, Black Eye. But another Avery BA series beer, Momi Hiwa, is worth checking out if you can track it down.

I also find the rum barrels add more of a sweetness to the beer, and find a toasty or bitter base stout works best for these barrels. I am not a fan of most, rump kin and momi hiwa were both waaaay too sweet for me because of this. It would seem rum barrels could balance American versions of the imperial stout.
