As most of your work weeks end, mine is just beginning. Having a few before get ready to sleep the rest of the day away in preparation for tonight's night shift. I started out with one I brought home from my Tree House road trip yesterday...

It was nice to have a non-hazy Tree House beer. I loved the psychedelic can art and the flavor! I'm a huge fan of the Mosaic hop, so this was a real winner for me. Next, I moved from the east coast to the west coast to one of my favorite breweries, Modern Times...

I wish I ended up with more than just 1 can of Booming Rollers. This stuff is killer! Oh well, I guess I'll have to search for more ! Cheers, BA's, and here's to a great weekend!

Nice jams. Most people just lump Tesla in with the rest of the 80s "Hair Bands", but they were really more than that. Just a straight ahead blues based ROCK group. Frank Hannon can really play the guitar.

I have probably seen Tesla LIVE about 25 times since the late 80s. They are the hometown band for Sacramento, CA. So many good shows out at Cal Expo and Arco Arena. Going to catch them this summer with Def Leppard.

Perennial's Sump. It tastes better than that Wack Ass Belgian IPA!

I prefer this from the Keg versus Bottle. Plus at 17.99 a 32 oz beats 21.99 a 750...simple Math.

Not a fan of their beers at all. My friends and I call them "Burley Feet", since that's what a good number of their beers taste like.

I really dug Aboriginal Gangster, but as far as their Canned Options are either full on Off Flavors or straight up Just Bad. Secret Sauce is the only Canned Option that I feel is pretty good.

A few friends and I visited the brewery about a year ago. I wanted to visit for a while since my grandparents live in Berlin, and I was disappointed. I'd say Secret Sauce and Lord Baltimore were the best I had, and they were mediocre at best.

Quick Side by Side with Goose Island Four Star Pils and Green Line.

    Four Star Pils:
    Malt: 2-Row, Munich, C-20
    Hops: Mt. Hood, Meridian, Equinox
    ABV 5.1%
    IBU: 44

    Green Line:
    Malt: Pale
    Hops: Millennium, Mt. Hood, Zythos
    ABV: 5.4%
    IBU: 30
Green Line reminded me of a Czech Pils...clean midtaste with a nice, zippy (almost Saaz) bitter finish, most likely due to the Zythos hops.
Four Star is closer to the Pale Ale category than Green Line, but that particular line gets really, really blurry. The malt bill has fewer varieties, but was definitely fuller and slightly heavier than the Green Line (I found this slightly odd). That said, hop complexity wasn't outstanding for an APA, but pretty close to the balance I'd expect for an English Pale Ale.
For what it's worth, given a choice between the two...I'd now select Green Line; but they're definitely different birds (of a feather, so to speak).

    Heading toward the weekend:
