I was going to use this for New Beer Sunday but I'm not a fan. Has that dank yet sweet dirty cat litter thing going on. Not my style apparently. :slight_frown:

Yesterday: Winter Warlock Oatmeal Stout and a Compass IPA at Bristol Brewing. Much as I love what the place does for our community, the beer is completely forgettable. Might be one of my last trips there, alas. Cheers, all. Will be looking for much better beer today....

    Rye-On-Rye - Boulevard Brewing Co.
One of my favorites from Boulevard, and the one that introduced me to Rye beer.

Pataskala was awesome, absolutely loved that one. I really didn't care for the Narwhal though for some reason, maybe I'll have to revisit it.

The owner of Rubber Soul is here, so he bought everyone a round of their Dropout Double IPA. Couldn't refuse.

Enjoying the BA-flow this AM....feeling the vibe of @lordofthewiens with my own pending empty-nest abyss I stare into (not til August...but grappling in advance with college and grad school acceptance (and rejection) letters coming in...and reality smacks)

but, to live in the moment...I must, with gratitude and appreciation (and my two college-bound daughters hanging out this fine AM)....present tense indeed

a much better Abyss to stare into..and sip from..

and sounds to flow with as well

and a selection from the band I will see tonight...date night with wife (prepping for empty nest life)

Sip your Sunday away BA's...enjoy your life moments as you wish!!

How is Leffe? It's one of the only Trappist beers I still haven't had yet. How does it stack up to the likes of Chimay, Rochefort, Orval, and Westmalle?

This has been sitting in my fridge for a while. Now feels like an appropriate time to enjoy it. First offering from Grimm as well!

It doesn't compare to be honest.. never had it? I thought it was pretty available even in the US. It's 3€ a six-pack in most of Europe and will assume not much more expensive for Americans.

Definitely inferior to those you listed, but give it a try nonetheless.

It's a good beer, but I'm sorry, it's an Abbey beer and not Trappist.

    Linkage: http://beer.stackexchange.com/quest...fference-between-trappist-beer-and-abbey-beer

I like the Leffe Brune a wee bit better than the Blonde. Your mileage may vary.
