He played a wine snob on TV, now he can play a beer snob in real life.

Very cool! My folks are in Bethel, so it might be worth the trek.

Perhaps he adopts the mindset "don't get high on your own supply".

Pretty cool, but Faith American Brewing Co.? Is he sure he shouldn't open that brewery in the Bible Belt instead?

Borscht Belt Brewing Co. would be better, featuring Jackie Mason Jar Pale Ale and Buddy Hackett Hatchet Job Red IPA. I don't like the name Faith American Brewing Co.

I did check the map, and his location isn't really accessible to the old 'borscht belt ' resort area of the Catskills. Maybe he'll have an offshoot near Monticello; then you can pitch your ideas

There is a fairly popular brewery in NEPA that is owned by a casual friend of my fathers. I do believe he is also the brewer. He does not drink. So while I'm sure it's the extreme minority, it's not completely unheard of.

I bet they won't be doing any collabs with Dock Street.

I had the same thought. I think he's had multiple rehab stints for booze and other things. Surprised he can even own the brewery as I thought there were regulations prohibiting people with dwis and so forth from being involved in the alcohol industry.

I'm sorry I didn't read the article, but even if he's a recovering alcoholic it doesn't necessarily mean that because he's opening a brewery he'll be directly near and around the actual beer at all or ever. It's not as if he's going to be at the brewery sampling the beers for quality assurance. But maybe I'm wrong and the guy is about to relapse in the biggest of ways .... But like I said I didn't read the article because the link didn't work, I'm just making a general point. Still seems contradictory I'll admit

    I'd buy it.

This is cool, I didn't know he was a beer guy. Interesting to see how the styles really pan out.
