    Drinking a bottle of Hickson IPA from Brasserie Les Deux Freres in Terrbonne.

    It is good, not great. I would drink it again.

    I'm not totally clear on what I'm drinking here. I suppose it could be a kölsch. Or a saison or helles or some kind of hybrid. The label just says that it's 'reckless' and that it goes down well. Well, that it does.

    This saison is on my regulars list these days. Amazing head formation and retention. Surprised I got it all in the glass.

    Pretty sure it is an "Unfiltered Pils". I think the Kölsch label on the site is an error.

    Lcbo FTW. Stone IPA with an enjoy by date of 09/01/15 on the shelf today... And it wasnt on the shelf when I stopped there 3 days ago... They are awful when it comes to holding anything not from Ontario :/

    The LCBO have to make their special release dates.
    They are so used to carrying red wine they probably tell you it doesn't matter, aging is good. It is wrong and it's frustrating. Sure they would tell you it keeps the costs down.

    Alas, I have met my first ever infected beer! At least, I assume that's what it is.

    I sat down to write a review and got as far as 'smells like vinegar and wet rotting wood,' took a sip and nearly spewed it across the room.

    That brew is alive for sure.
    Alive with what has been determined. Very unfortunate.
    Hopefully it is aggressive on cleaning the drain pipe.
