Mumford Brewing in DTLA. Golf Clap which is their dry-hopped saison. Not their best, but I try to support them when I can.

Had brinner tonight, so the Sumatra Mountain Brown was a natural pairing.

This year's Jammer is much better, this one goes out to my dumb dog in Oklahoma who managed some how break out of his harness & apparently get his ass kicked by some other dog. We are not sure what exactly went down as my Father in Law was the only one home & can barely speak any more. My son found him with a bout a hockey puck size chunk taken out of his right buttock, poor puppy. $90 later, the Vet says he should be fine

My wife says it looks like a fairly clean cut on the harness, so I'm not sure what to think about that. This dog would be much happier in the country, but on the other hand he might be dead too. All I know is my youngest boy was very upset about the whole affair...

Any glassware you enjoy the most totally works  but if you want to be a glassware snob, any one of these three ...

That's one lovely label! Beautiful art. I'm not a fan of Imperial anything or black beers, but I've been tempted buying just for the label.

Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good Tuesday. Looking like another slower weekday thread tonight. Today's reviews:

Spanish witbier. This was really nice! Great head retention, and rings of lacing down the glass. Aromas and flavors of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, pepper, wheat, cracker, and bread; with some herbal/grassy hop and yeasty earthiness. Light bitterness and yeast spice on the finish; light-medium bodied with some grainy wheat creaminess/slight spice stickiness in the mouthfeel. Lightly drying. Very robust and well balanced in flavors. This is a really impressive witbier, and refreshing. Very flavorful for 4.8%, with nice well rounded complexities. Glad they bottle date. 3.93

WOW!!!! Aromas and flavors of HUGE milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roast coffee, hazelnut, caramel, toffee, fudge, toasted biscuit, vanilla, cream, bourbon, oak, and light smoke/charred malt. Moderate roast/char bitterness and light bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Full-ish bodied with an awesome balanced creamy/silky and sticky/chalky roasted mouthfeel. Light-moderate roast/oak dryness. Lightly warming finish. Definitely absolutely fucking enormous on the hazelnut flavoring, but its not overpowering at all. Tons of coffee/malt/barrel presence to compensate for that. BIG complexities. Glad I have a second bottle. 4.47

Very nice Brett saison. Moderate gusher going on, but no beer was lost. Hibiscus giving the pink hues. Aromas and flavors of big tart lemon, lime, grapefruit, cranberry, pineapple, mango, pear, white wine, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, and oak; with some light musty funk and honey/crackery malt character. Good sized peppery yeast finish with light tartness; with a very sticky/tannic dry finish with lighter acidity. Medium-high carbonation and lighter body; very crisp and smooth. Great balance of brett complexity, lime, and hibiscus; which gives off a unique tart/tannic berry flavor to the saison profile as expected. 3.9

Jackie O's doesn't know how to make a bad stout, I swear. This thing is a mountain of sweet, choclately, bourbon-soaked amazingness. Photobombed by the wife & her monkey pajamas. Cheers!
