    I want to say it was The Dog Days of Winter event. It could have been Crate Day though. As far as your opinion of the beer...perhaps it benefited from sitting a bit. Glad you are enjoying it!

    Trying out one of these non-hipster (yet) Pabst offerings. [​IMG]

    Four pack was about $6 something and a had a $5 off TW coupon. Slurping down these bad boys for a buck.

    As for the beer, it's actually not too shabby. I think it had some personality conflict though. Supposed to be within the ESB spectrum, if I read right, but if I had to blindly guess, I would have assumed it was a Vienna Lager with just a touch more bitterness. Very drinkable and lighter in body and mouthfeel than what you'd expect from a beer this color. Taste has a good amount of caramel, a bit of some sort of berry, and finally a finish reminiscent of a diet cola in both bitterness and chemical sweetness, but not in an off putting way. Not a bad deal, even without the coupon. Furthermore, this could be a very good gateway beer.
